Also when Carter did this, he took people who had over two years college and took away their Veterans Preference when putting in for a Civil Service position. If you were a deserter in Canada, you were promised a Federal job if you came home. If you had over two years college your Veterans Preference was thrown away.

A General Discharge for an inactive reservist can only be based upon civilian misconduct found to have had an adverse impact on the overall effectiveness of the military, including military morale and efficiency. And there, you have it. (A quick review of the DATES is enough.)
And this blob of cowardice, this smooth talking absentee from his senatorial duties (for years), this man ACCUSTOMED to breaking down the moral and spirt of our military is at it again with the war on terror, especially as it relates to Iraq.
Do I dispise and loathe this traitor? Nope. He is to low for that. And not worth a cent more of my emotion.
He should be in jail.
Kerry: Release your full records, you want to be our President so COME CLEAN.
I am sure that tommy brokaw, peter jennings, katie colic, charley gibson, danny rather are all begging you to release your military records, lol, the pressure must be immense! < / sarcasm >

What really pisses me off more than anyhting else, is that all it takes is one question from a reporter. Just one.
"Senator Kerry, why did you receive you honorable discharge 6 years after your service commitment ended?"
Or,
"Senator Kerry, was your original discharge honorable?"

"Senator Kerry, was your original discharge honorable?"That's the one! ALong with the first question being, Senator Kerry, why will you not release your FULL military records, you are, after all, wanting to be our Commander in Chief! What could you possible want to keep from your nation?

This is starting to smell like 3 day old fish. Thank you for posting this excellent analysis. Kerry cannot sign the 180, however he can instruct his wife to continue shock and appall everyone as a smokescreen.

If his medals were revoked coincident with an other than honorable discharge, why would he not want to toss them. Indeed they were not his medals. (Though they once might have been).

It also validates the repeat issues of the citations for rhe bronze and silver stars. If the discharge was less than honorable, then the medal cites would have to be re-issued!

That about sums up why sKerry refuses to this day to sign the SF-180. He'd turn off what few vets he does have and what few vet widows that he has supporting him.
