Last year, I enjoyed the weekly NFL threads, and I thought it'd be a good idea to try again. If the thread get's a decent response. I'll continue posting them.

Comments, analysis, and good natured smack talk welcome.
NFL week 7 ping.
I sure hope I get out of work before the Jets-Pats game. Should be a barn burner. I hate my job.
Can't wait for Patriots-Jets. I'd practically forgotten all about the game due to the World Series hysteria around here. What an embarrassment of riches we have in the New England sports world. A World Champion football team with a 20-game winning streak and a baseball team in the World Series. It doesn't get any better than this.
I hear ya. I've got to get a Tivo, even though I don't work on Sunday.
The jets-patriots game is gonna be a good, physical game. I was actually leaning towards the jets earlier in the week, but changed my mind yesterday.
In two weeks I will really be able to pay attention to these threads.
Normally I don't work on Sundays. When we aren't in the death throws of a doomed release I have a nice Monday-Friday schedule. Which makes this all the more bitter.
I'm thinking the game belongs to the Pats, the Jets haven't faced a serious challenge this year, and while I think they're up to it and will beat good teams this year I think the shock of facing a real opponent for the first time all season will tilt the field for the Pats.
Just looked it up on TV guide...we're getting the jets-pats matchup!!
Woo-hoo!!
What a great idea. Excellent post. Does anyone know how to start a mailing list? Vigilantcitizen, I like your thumbnail analyses.
Long may Rocky Belier and Pat Tillman be remembered.
I use to think football was important then I remembered it was a game and not a way of life.
Agreed. The jets haven't been challenged yet, but if anyone can beat the pats, it's the jets. They run the ball, play defense, and their qb doesn't make many stupid mistakes.
It's fairly clear now, but two more weeks will give us a pretty good picture of who's for real and who's not. IMO... there are a couple of teams with poor records that are dangerous...the titans and packers.
Thanks the preview. Love watching football, don't know a thing about it! Root for Bears, Raiders, Jags..... in that order.
Live in 'Fins Territory. Got Sunday Ticket on Directv with Tivo. Jags/Colts looks good for 1 PM slot.
Some needs to post picks for today!

Thank you. You're on the list.
Maybe the lions can finally prove they really are an elite mediocre team. Or are they just the 4-12 team we have come to know and love.
As a Southern California resident, spurned LA Rams season-ticket holder, and despiser of Al Davis' "Just Win" no-matter-who-gets-paralyzed philosophy, my four favorite teams are the San Diegos, the Green Bays, and whoever plays the Rams and the Raiders.
I'm in a pick'em contest at the falcons message board. So far, I'm 54-34.
Here's my pics this week...
