Buses of Chicago Democrats on the way to Wisconsin to HELP Wisconsin vote Kerry
Posted on 10/24/2004 12:43:26 AM PDT by stockstrader
Just when I thought that the President might carry Wisconsin (a critical battleground state), I just saw on TV that Chicago democrats are sending buses full of Kerry supporters to Milwaukee to HELP (whatever that means in Chicago terms) the Kerry campaign in Wisconsin.
Chicago is so overwhelmingly democratic and so close to Milwaukee--this is just what we need in that critical battleground state!!
Have any Chicago Freepers heard or seen this happening,,,either on TV or in person? Are republicans or Freepers going to be able to negate this attempt to put Wisconsin in the Kerry column?

I did hear on Rush or Hannity... not quite sure, about skerry/dnc bringin' in the bus load in Az some time last week or week before - all I could think was how lame is this... I don't think Bush had to "haul in" outsiders, just to liven' up the place... how pathetic, 'Poor, Poor, Pitiful Kerry', not enough supports. Do you guys notice how lame his audiences are? Gosh, I think I'd rather have teeth pulled! I just can't imagine seeing his fig and hearing THAT voice for four years.... OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't for the life of me figure out how an "Independent Centrist" could ever make up their mind.
Now I'm certainly not a Republican but I'm definitely an "Independent Right Leaner".

I can't for the life of me figure out how an "Independent Centrist" could ever make up their mind. He uses the "tossing the chicken bones" method. If the chicken bones land in the shape of a 'K' he votes for Kerry, if it's a 'B' he votes for Bush.

How come I haven't seen or read anything about bus loads of republicans heading to Milwaukee to help? There's not enough Republicans in Chicago to fill a bus.

They should've stayed in Chicago. By election day Bush will probably be close enough to win Illinois, and they'll have to rush back to steal the vote there. Naw.. The RATS have patent the cemetary method of voting in Illnois and are trying to export their patent to the cheeseheads up North... The only problem is that a lot of cheeseheads don't dun like those FIBbers much.

I was talking to a friend from the Chicaco burbs yesterday and the Senate race came up. My friend's a lefty and so he didn't like Keyes. I asked him about Obama and he said that he seemed to be a smart guy but that he, my friend, would probably vote libertarian. Why, I asked? He said that Obama was from Chicago and that all politicians from Chicago were corrupt.

Sounds like a massive voter fraud in progress. Wisconsin has same day registration with litttle ID required -- utility bill, etc. Folks watch your mailboxes. All it takes is a stolen piece of mail to provide ID in Wisconsin. I hope the DAs throw some of these folks in jail when caught.

I don't see any evidence in this posting that they are going there to vote. I think they are going there to ring doorbells. Chicago I am sure still has some vote fraud in it,but, I am sure it is not as bad as it used to be. The people who were doing vote fraud, were interested in county assessors races not Presidential races. It was all about holding power to get some body else's money and put it in their pocket. These people coming up are likely left lib's not machine hacks who could care less about national politics.

The same reason Republicans didn't do anything when Wisconsin's Governor Doyle vetoed the voter ID bill.

I just saw on "Meet the Press", that
busloads of Democratic HELP is also heading to OHIO from Wash, DC, and New York!
Apparently this is a FOCUSED effort ONLY in a few 'toss-up' battleground states. I sure wish the republicans had an effort to blunt this attempt at 'cross-border' HELP (interference) to increase dem turnout.

We have volunters coming from out of state, but they are coming in ones and twos to every battleground to man phones and go door-to-door.
In my county, which looks certain for Bush and is rural (hard to go door-to-door/no need for poll watchers), I have volunteers heading to LaCrosse to poll watch and help out otherwise.
We have poll watchers in every polling place in Milwaukee and the university towns. We are checking every absentee ballot as it comes in to make sure the person is real and lives where they claim to live. We have one attorney on call for every 3 polling places. We have a hotline: 1-88-VOTE-FRAUD
The Milwaukee County Executive, who controls the ballots & is a Republican, has made sure that Milwaukee City pays for all the ballots they ordered, must return unused ballots and the ballots are bar-coded by precinct.
We have a huge GOTV program in every urban area.
The Philipdelphia/PA vote fraud stories have been debunked on FR by several posters (Hermann was one of them & perhaps can give links here). Another poster who debunked this said they were a GOP Chair in PA, IIRC. They have said there was no proof of 100% voting in Philly or of over-voting in the inner city precincts. Demographically, it has been reported from Census and vote total counts that the cities (not just Philly) have lost D registrations, while the counties and suburbs had increased R registrations.
Get out an volunteer instead of handwringing and spreading doom and gloom and FUD, please. It is no longer about money. It is about face-to-face and voice-to-ear encouragement to our voters to get out and vote. If all you can do is give money, get a group together and buy a full page in your local paper for next Monday. A group of Young Conservatives in my county have done just that for the last edition of our weekly. If you can't do that, get busy, organize seveal folks and write LTEs to all you local dailies for the next week. We began that effort a month ago. The papers limit LTEs from one person, so you need one person per day per paper. Call in to your local liberal talk shows and give your reasons for supporting Bush and refute the liberal lies.
GOTV!

Thank you for your efforts.
I guess that Chicago democrats think that Wisconsin voters are TOO STUPID to handle their own election by themselves!!!
To: stockstrader
The active Chicago Democrats are union goons and people who have a financial stake in D control, AFAIK, plus the usual socialists. (I was born and raised in IL in the 40's/50's and moved to WI in the mid 60s, lived in Milwaukee and Madison and moved to the country in the 70s).
It may well be that the WI Ds couldn't get enough bodies on the ground by themselves. I have spoken to only one person who got a D phone call and it was an automated, negative, anti-Bush smear call. DNC and Wisconsin D Party is putting almost all their money into shrill negative ads against our down ticket candidates and mailing out expensive 4-color card stock ads in favor of their candidates and glossy 4 color card stock ads against our guys....mostly down ticket, but I did get one for Kerry slamming W.
Our local county and District Dems aren't doing much I can see.
Our county did not, AFAIK, even get the Soros mailing I read about for the swing states, so I imagine they are targeted to D areas.
I think all the Ds can do is go negative and coordinate expensive campaigns from the urban centers.

Chicago dummycrats have been in WI stirring up the vote for some time, esp. in the inner city. Some rap/hip-hop/r&B stars that appeal to the young have also been here.
