The MSM is getting ready to turn on Kerry. They see he's a lost cause, so they are worried about their own butts now.

They might feel like he is a lost cause, but they could be ready to drop some bombshell theory on Bush on us just in case.

I agree...we should see MSM getting in line with what has been going on outside the beltway for quite a while. They have gone about as far as they can go with Kerry and now they will try to salvage what little is left of their credibility!

First one's true, the second one I take issue with. Here's why:

This is all going exactly how the media wants. All of them, including Fox News, are playing this as a "coming down to the wire" scenario. All indicators are starting to point toward the President having the momentum going into the last week of the election. Internals are looking real good. Hawaii is what made me think the MSM type polls are shifted to what ever they want it to be.

The point being, since they are all doing things in their own interest as any business should do (read that as whore's if you like), giving the appearance of a close contest is more interesting than the blow out it's gonna be. All this lawyer crap that's flying around and being hyped would be payday for media companies. The controversy would just increase their bottom line - ratings.

In the last week of the election the media is sensing a blowout. They know America doesn't think Kerry can protect us as well as the President. The internals show a wide lead for the Prez there, and it's only getting wider. There's just so much juicy stuff on Kerry that they have ignored, they could have a field day bringing him down. This Times piece is just a little taste. Imagine all the goodies the left wing media has on Kerry they could spring.

I'm not really seeing why a Kerry presidency would be all that great for the media, besides the controversies and scandals that it would entail. The terror attacks that would occur on our homeland might get some ratings, but surely that can't be a motivation.
