It was awesome said my daughter. There was 50,000. It was the warmest crowd of people. Air Force 1 did a fly by which excited everyone which was so amazing. Daughter states words does not give it justice as to how great it was. Todd's Beamers parents spoke to the crowd prior to the President's arrival. My son and grandson make it on the big screen during the President's speech. Aaron Tippin played. My granddaughter age 4 was screaming four more years. One of the best posters was Democrats for Bush. The President speech was very positive and upbeat. The gates opened at 10:30 and even though they waited for six hours for the President, nobody complained. My Navy Son said this is truly Bush Country.
I just came back myself. It was fantastic. Does anyone know what President Bush's largest crowd's have been on the campaign trail?
My wife asked how many stump speeches gives a day. I guessed two maybe three.
You notice this with all of Bush's rallies, the crowds are large and enthusiastic, while Kerry "crowds" are much smaller, usually hand picked, and seems to have a lot of young people under voting age, and even then, they don't appear to be anywhere near as excited.
......and have you noticed that the cameras on Fox News never "pull back" ...only at the Bush rallies! Kerry could never fill 1/3 of a stadium that size unless the thugs were bused in!
Sorry, you're living in a dream world. I stood outside today to see Arnold. There were alot of people there. It took two hours. That's just my limit. I don't wait on line to see any human being. That's just my thing. But as far as California going Republican. Don't think so.
Thanks so much for the report and thanks especially to your son for serving!
You would have complained unless of course, you were waiting for your hero......j efin k
I just saw a replay of the rally on Fox News and it gives you a sense of pride...chills too to see this kind of enthusiasm!
Thanks for the ping and the report.
I cannot even imagine how you must have felt. I can feel Pres Bush's energy when I see him on TV; what a sensation it must be to be that close to him.
Well, dang! How did I miss you? I volunteered for the activities/sign table and will post my pics by sun AM.
You all beat me home. I was letting all kinds of folks get out head of me from the stadium. There is just something awesome about being stuck in traffic with fifty thousand BUSH supporters!!
Does anyone know if the JAX rally will be on C-Span?
In 2000, I loved watching the Florida rallies....both before and after the election!
If you find a transcript, please ping me. please put the Florida flag on your profile and maybe post there the links, too? Also could you start a new thread when you post your report? thanks!
What the hell are you talking about. Some of you are like robots. The minute you read something you don't like, you start in with trolls and traitors. I JUST DON'T STAND IN LINE TO MEET MORTAL MEN. IT'S JUST MY THING. I might wait a few hours to meet Bush, but I wouldn't wait 6 hours in a crowd of thousands to hear him speak. If that makes me a closet Kerry lover to you, then you're...how can I say this gently....INSANE.
It's a nice read
One is from the morning roundup.......
The other id of 3 of the 4 Kerry supporters I saw there.
They got out there as fast as they came. EVERYONE was yelling "4 MORE YEARS!" and they turned around and went back the way they came..
I think that's Jenifer Carrol.
Wait till you see the crowd shots....
And, the hubby was Army go figure....
Thanks again
Jennifer Carrol had great things to say about supporting the military, and as a former Navy Officer, she speaks with convictions.
One of my favorite signs was from Navy wifes 4 Bush...I also loved the crowds response when the big screen had a close up an elderly VFW Quartermaster. He received a standing O.
I read the previous post from someone who wouldnn't stand in line to hear some one speak...all I can say is... I was there in 76 when Reagan spoke...I heard it live, I shook his hand, he thanked me for my support...one of our local Methodist bishops tells the tale of when he was a boy, he met an old man who had been a boy, present when Lincoln gave his speech at Getysburg. The old man said, all of the actors had it wrong, Lincoln said" Government of the PEOPLE, by the PEOPLE, for the PEOPLE... the flyover of AF1...priceless.
I have to wait for my sweetie to finish editing a video for the history of our church (75 years tomorrow)...then I can post the best of the signs...my favorite is from a future hottie- a young man of @ 15 years saying "Unborn Babies for Bush." In my mind's eye I have the picture of the bi-racial family that was on the big screen, the father was white...and I am thinking of Alan Keyes saying that 50% of black children are aborted in this country...
End of rant, but I AM FIRED UP, BABY!!!
LOL!!!!!!!!!
I'm sure lots of folks won't understand you pinging me to this thread!!!!!!!
