George And His God (Zarqawi admits Al-Qaeda link)
Independent Media.tv ^ | 10-22-2004 | Melissa Carr

Shock and awe are the only two words to describe the blessings George Bush’s god continues to bestow upon him. During the presidential debates, John Kerry repeatedly stated that Iraq was a diversion from the war on terror and that Al Qaeda had nothing to do with Saddam Hussein. But this week, god sent George yet another little blessing. “We announce that Al-Tawhid wal Jihad (Unity and Holy War), its emir (Zarqawi) and soldiers have pledged allegiance to the mujahedeen (Islamic warrior) Osama bin Laden." This godsend was posted on an Islamic website this week, and its timing could not have been better for George. Until now, George has been offering a few shaky-at-best ties between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein, but he had nothing definitive to show as a connection. The Zarqawi message was the missing link needed for George to connect the dots. Mind you, he never explains how he had foreknowledge of this pledge of allegiance. Maybe George is a prophet, and maybe god tipped him off before clueing the rest of us in.

The depressing thing is that to liberals facts simply don't matter.

I've been making phone calls in the Bush headquarters for the last 2 days. One of the "undecided" voters I spoke to actually said "I'm not voting for Bush because he can't pronounce the word 'nuclear' right." I tried to be friendly and tell her "Well in Texas they call that a drawl, hunny." In all serious she replied, "If he can't speak clearly....I don't know....he can't be that smart."

I started to ask her if she ever heard Stephen Hawking speak....but why waste my time.

If a person says something this stupid...I don't know...that person must be stupid.

I have never heard of a more ridiculous reason to vote against President Bush

“We announce that Al-Tawhid wal Jihad (Unity and Holy War), its emir (Zarqawi) and soldiers have pledged allegiance to the mujahedeen (Islamic warrior) Osama bin Laden."

I saw a one-hour interview with Richard Miniter, author of "Shadow War" and he commented on this and said that this is totally against Islam because they are to swear no allegiance to anyone but Allah. Also, that Osama has declared himself the "last prophet" and that is blasphemy.

She wouldn't have known who Stephan Hawking is, anyway. Someone that shallow and trivial probably doesn't know a lot of things.

Rather hasn't commented on the 1000 other links between between Sadam and Al Qaeda, why should he start now.

Take your meds....I don't think the intent of the last statement was meant to be ugly....it sounded sort of matter-of-fact...like she REALLY believed God was on his side.

That's not much of anything.

Most of the lefties are in agreement that al-Qaeda is active in Iraq now, they just don't/won't understand that there was a link before the war.

What we know about Zarqawi doesn't strengthen the case: his only connections to Iraq before Gulf War II were in the north of the country, where he was working with the Kurds, and ultimately protected by the UN-approved no-fly zone.

Okay, but after re-reading this for the third time (especially the last two paragraphs) I think I better start sharing them with others!
