We just got a tip......that a major newspaper will break a front-page story Monday morning that could create a serious problem for the Kerry campaign. We don't yet have any details, but it relates to a foreign policy issue, and it will call into question--amazingly enough--John Kerry's truthfulness.
We'll watch for the story Sunday night and post it as soon as it becomes available.
His Haitian blunder didn't get the attention it deserved.

When you stiff the waitress.
Isn't that what Ted Kennedy did in that private dining room?
Does anyone know, if there is an October surprise, why it is coming out after many states have had early balloting already underway? Are there really that many "undecideds" out there?
This doesn't sound explosive at first glance....unless it is what post 106 suggests.
Preemptive strike, perhaps? You know, a big issue that literally sucks all the oxygen out of the MSM coverage room, lessening the time for impact of whatever the Dems have in store.
If this is off Powerline, it pays to pay attention to it. These guys are attorneys and were the ones who helped undo Dan Rather.
This could involve one of two things:
a. an expose about contacts between Kerry and the SRV in Paris (Le Duc Tho, that crowd).
b. an expose that the Saudis have promised lower oil prices to Kerry and support in Iraq in exchange for Kerry betraying the Israelis.
The second option seems more likely to me, as oil futures have been undergoing enormous speculative upward pressure. Now the reason why I bring this up is because of Krauthammer's piece in the WaPo yesterday, which raised this very issue. A grand bargain with the Rejectionist Front: make Kerry look good in Iraq in return for a sellout of the Jews of Israel. The Saudis would throw in plentiful oil supplies as a sweetener, of course.
If it is the second, then the Mossad has been very busy assembling documentation and wiretaps over the last months. Kerry has never taken security seriously during his career. I suspect that his campaign must be riddled with operatives from the FSB (aka, the KGB), MI6, and of course, Mossad. I wouldn't put it past the Saudis to fatten some secretary's Swiss Account in return for a real time flow of information to the Royal Family.

Elsewhere on that site is a really interesting look at Hawaii.
Bush and Kerry are in a dead heat.

Most still go to the polls on election day.
Well that is about the third time that scenario has been mentioned, so I guess you are probably correct. Now is the press will just tie this to meeting in Paris with the NVN, the story might have some legs. What would be the legal ramifications if true?
terroriza was doing the pool guy!
Kerrys people have been negotiating with Syria for quiet some time now.
I think this is Kerrys October surprise to Bush.
This friend is a Hill staffer.....he could be wrong or hyping his own theory, but he has told me that this is the rumour going around Washington for a few days now....it could be something different though, just thought I pass it along.
It was indeed a bait and switch
YES!!! THE TIP COMES FROM DAN RATHER!!!
IT IS RELIABLE!
Could it possibly be the story Rush told about Kerry stating that it was honorable for American soldiers to die under the UN flag, but not under the U.S. flag?
Either the Washington Post or Washington Times.
Let's hope it's the Post. The Times is more easily ignored by the MSM clowns.
Do I sense skepticism from you? Why I believe I do. I am too because I am not feeling real optimistic about the election. But, the poster that mentioned the meetings by a campaign person with Iran and Syria might have something.
Do ya'll remember Richard Holbrooke on Fox (I'm not sure which show) - the host asked him how Kerry could be so sure that more countries (allies) would join the war in Iraq if Kerry were elected, especially since they have all said that regardless of who is elected they will not change their minds? Holbrooke said (I'm pretty sure) that "when I was over there recently, I got a different feeling". Also, whenever anyone has tried to pin down Kerry in the past, he has made cryptic comments like "there are things I can do but I can't reveal them before election".
Anyone else on this thread remember any of above or am I hallucinating again?
