Remarks of Senator John Kerry (scaring old people while hiding facts)
U.S. Newswire ^ | October 21, 2004 | Senator John Kerry, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania

Posted on 10/23/2004 12:17:15 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

……..As my friend President Clinton likes to say, if you see a turtle sitting on a fence post, you know it didn't get there by itself. The surplus was the culmination of a 15-year, bipartisan battle to get federal spending and the federal budget under control. Back in the 1980's, I broke with my party and joined with reformers like Warren Rudman, a Republican from New Hampshire, to push for deficit reduction. It wasn't a popular position, but I believed then -- as I do now -- that it was the right thing to do.

In the 1990s, we finished the job. We brought Democrats and Republicans together to pass a historic bipartisan balanced budget agreement. We not only balanced the budget for the first time in decades, we created the opportunity to save Social Security for generations to come. It didn't matter whether you were a Republican or Democrat -- it only mattered that we were doing the right thing for our children, our seniors, and the millions of middle-class families struggling to get ahead.

…….Just today, America's seniors got some more bad news. For a typical senior, nearly half of this year's Social Security cost of living adjustment is going to be eaten away by the record rise in Medicare premiums. And for 2 million seniors, their entire cost of living increase will be completely wiped out by the higher Medicare premiums. That leaves less money for food, medicine, and even an occasional gift for a grandchild. That's wrong and when I'm president, I'm going to change it.

Well, well, well. I see a liar sitting on the fence and he's been sitting there a long time.

George Bush didn't raise the medicare premium for seniors, John Kerry did when he voted for the balanced budget agreement. But now he uses the premiumn increase that George Bush had nothing to do with to attack his opponent.

Typical Kerry - lie and scare. He has no shame.

The John Kerry Lies And Lunacies That Refuse To End

October 19, 2004

by Sher Zieve

John Kerry appears dedicated to one course of action, only; that of telling as many lies about President Bush (as are possible) in the last days of the 2004 presidential campaign. Kerry’s Kool-Aid drinking supporters have already blamed virtually all negative occurrences, on the planet, on President Bush. MoveOn.org (a Kerry 527) has sent massive email mailings that state President Bush’s environmental polices caused the recent wave of powerful hurricanes, which hit Florida and have said that President Bush will bring back the draft. These charges are patently false and ludicrous, as not only do hurricanes begin off the African coast but, they place President Bush in the position of being a god. If President Bush really is that powerful, why hasn’t he gotten rid of the leftists? These are, quite simply, more reckless Dem scare tactics. The military draft proposal was written by two Democrats, Sen. Fritz Hollings and Rep. Charley Rangel, and [it] was defeated by 100% of Congressional Republicans and the majority of Democrats. But, in his campaign speeches, candidate Kerry still continues to perpetuate the ‘military draft’ lie.

Now, Kerry is even blaming the flu vaccine shortage on President Bush. However, the flu vaccine shortage can be traced directly back to Democrat Hillary Clinton. During President Clinton’s tenure, Mrs. Clinton tried to force US drug manufacturers to produce vaccines for children and give them away, virtually, free. Not only did the drug manufacturers balk at this but, they saw the real threat of lawsuits. With no protections offered to them, they could be sued should anyone have an adverse reaction to the vaccine. So, they stopped manufacturing it and outsourced. Another Dem lie bites the dust. However, John Kerry is still using this falsehood and others in his campaign against President Bush. As long as he can continue to blind his faithful with lies, Kerry will continue to use them.

Beginning with the Viet Nam war, John Kerry’s “character” began to strongly emerge. He lied about our soldiers’ activities during that war (his campaign calls the lies “exaggerations”), which directly led to our POWs being even more severely tortured by the Communist Viet Cong. While the war was still being waged, John Kerry clandestinely and illegally met with the North Vietnamese leaders of the Viet Cong enemy camp; to work with our enemy on a plan to bring the war to an end and place the United States in a position of disgrace. Kerry raged tirelessly against the United States and for the Communist Vietnamese regime. A picture honoring Kerry still hangs in a North Vietnamese museum. John Kerry’s true character has maintained its downward spiral and been enhanced over the years, since Viet Nam.

Today, Kerry’s anti-American (and now anti-US Allies) activities continue even more fiercely, if not more surreptitiously. One example is that of a Kerry surrogate, Chad Clanton, telling Sinclair Broadcasting that if it runs the anti-Kerry film “Stolen Honor: Wounds That Won’t Heal”, they will be in trouble. Clanton said to FNC’s Brit Hume: "Listen - they better look out there at Sinclair Broadcasting. They've stirred up a lot of hatred. I think they're going to regret doing this. They better hope we don't win." Kerry has given no indication that he disagrees with Clanton’s statement and has not chastised him. Suffice it to say, this statement is a direct and unmistakable contradiction to free speech from the Democrat opposition. It strongly appears that Kerry and his minions plan to bring down the US Constitution. Monsieur Kerry even sent his sister Diana to Australia in a, now, failed attempt to bring down the Government of Australia’s PM John Howard.

As we enter the last days of the 2004 presidential campaign, one thing has become and remains crystal clear. A John Kerry lack of character and honor-deficient presidency would not only bring continuing lies, anti-American behaviors and an anti-alliance bent to the Oval Office but, has the strong (if not inevitable) probability of dismembering our Constitution. This is a truly chilling thought.

I'm sure the likes of "Perky Katie" will bring this to light and ease their fearful hearts. /s
