I posted this week or two before and each time I hear his name I become ill. After rereading what upset me the last time, I just cannot watch Joe's show. Unless he is removed from the sent. Anyone have a pie, I am a pretty good aim.
_________
I am a fair person. I try and even understand why someone will make an argument that I do not agree with. In the last few days I have been so mad I could spit on a person, I have exceeded that anger, now I am out for blood.
I realize there are folks who are not religious. There are those who think there is no need to seek guidance before committing troops.
Here is what he said last night that made so many viewers angry. Rightfully so, write in, write with intelligence and sincerity but write MSNBC, he does not need to be offering his opinion on the elections. I am angry right now but I will come up with something that is better then just cuz, but, after watching this man tonight -- well if I EVER had any respect (that is a big IF)for this man it is GONE.
Tonight he kept bringing up the Catholic teachings, if there is anyone out there that might help in this area I would like to know if what he said from a catholic view point had any validity? Thank you.
LAWRENCE ODONNELL
BUSH: First, my faith plays a lota big part in my life. And thats, when I answering that question, what I was really saying to the person was that I pray a lot. And I do.
I believe that God wants everybody to be free. Thats what I believe.
And thats been part of my foreign policy. In Afghanistan, I believe that the freedom there is a gift from the Almighty. And I cant tell you how encouraged I am to see freedom on the march.
And so my principles that I make decisions on are a part of me, and religion is a part of me.
ODONNELL: Well, but most Americans do not have that kind of simpleminded faith.
George Bushs God is a very strange God. This is a God who wants everyone to be free. Thats a very, very peculiarly frustrated God. That is a God that has been apparently frustrated for centuries in George Bushs imagination.
ODONNELL: Well, this is a Godthis is also a God who gives the gift of freedom. He says thats a gift from the almighty, that the Afghan people got this gift from the almighty this year.
What was George Bushs God doing to those people up to now? You see, thats the problem with this. For very simpleminded religious people, that stuff works. That is a minority of the American population, who have a more sophisticated view of God, those who accept it.
ODONNELL: The danger of simplification is that God wants him to do what he is doing. God wants people to be free; therefore, I, George Bush, will free them. Thats a dangerous political implication.
Thanks. Wouldn't want to miss great commentary like this. Will catch the rerun.
O'Donnell should be embarrassed by his lack of control.
He's a pathetic excuse for a human being.
I wish I could say what I really think of him.
O'Donnell, you make your Irish ancestors toss in their graves. May they never forgive you for your behavior.
MSNBC is having O'Donnell on intentionally. This is to attract ratings. It's the old if you can't get a response by saying something positive, get attention by doing something negative. Remember last month when Chris Matthews was going beserk on his show too? He was nasty, and attacking every conservative guest. It got the show publicity, and we, the suckers, tuned in to see what would happen next. So, O'Donnell is the latest bad rapper to bring in TV audience, and once again we tune in. What I would like to see is what Matthews' ratings will be after the political silly season is all done and Bush has won. Bet his ratings take a big dive, as no one will feel any need to listen to his bullsh*t anymore, nor will we need to tune into MSNBC at all. Then we get the last laugh.
God only helps those who help themselves. In the case of Afghanistan, they got a little help from a very Godly POTUS.
I have e-mailed Joe Scarborough and told him what a disgrace O'Donnell was on his show, and that SOMEBODY owes John O'Neil a BIG apology. If O'Donnell won't, then Joe Scarborough and MSNBC owe him one, and O'Donnell should NEVER appear on Joe's show again.
Will be replaying in about a half hour.
"O'donnell is a pathetic fat-lipped idiot...He must be related to Rosie."
Yes, of course he's related to Rosie O.
Ireland is a very small island.
Those of the same name are cousins, as were all the Irish to one degree or another, back in the old days.
You can be certain that if the records were there (which they are not due to shoddy record-keeping in the old days) you would find the connection in the mists of the past.
But it's there somewhere.
At first I was furious and then Looney Larry, aka Mad Dog O'Donnell, was so over top it got hysterical, and John O'Neill, as always, was so calm, cool, collected and professional and stayed right on message - telling the truth. The good thing is it's really spiked up the donations to the Swift Vets.
The folks over at Swift Vets are saying 46 times he used the word "liar"
MSNBC reaches new low with this screaming maniac of an O'Donnell--he is desperately in need of a straight jacket.
Hehe. I just didn't have enough fingers and toes to keep count...
The DUers are so mutated that they can count on all their fingers and toes and not repeat any of them.

Right click and save... this one's a keeper.
Couldn't find when he was born but if you assume normal schooling he was born in 1954 to graduate in 1976.
The last draft orders were issued in 1972 for men born in 1952. They held the lottery drawing for potential 1973 draftees but no one was drafted.
MSNBC replay of program now.
Whoops, I guess I should check the SECOND page of comments before posting the link myself. ;-)
