President Bush has opened a 5 point lead against Senator John Kerry, according the latest TIME poll. If the 2004 election for President were held today, 51% of likely voters surveyed would vote for President George W. Bush, 46% would vote for Senator John Kerry, and 2% would vote for Ralph Nader, according to the TIME poll conducted by telephone from Oct. 19 21. Among all registered voters surveyed, Bush leads Kerry 50% to 43%.
Last weeks TIME poll found 48% of likely voters would vote for Bush, 47% would vote for Kerry, and 3% would vote for Nader. That poll was conducted Oct. 14-15 and included 865 likely voters.
Poll results will appear in the upcoming issue of TIME magazine, on newsstands Monday, Oct. 25. See methodology below for margin of error and sample size information.

This is good. I will allow myself to cautiously smile.
The move and the groove is with us!
Great news!
everytime I go there, I feel like I need to break the monitor or something reading their idiotic comments. Felt like that when I saw a "republican for Kerry" sticker on a car but then she kinda gave it away that she probably wasnt a repub when she had kerry stickers over her car windows and every other place she could put a sticker.
More good news. It just dawned on me: With a nat'l lead like this Bush cannot lose it in the battleground states. The nat'l trend will prevail over the inconsistency of a state or two. Folks, W will be taking FL, OH, WI, IA, NM (at least) with a nat'l lead like this.
Quite frankly, I'm skeptical of all of these polls whether good news or bad.
There will be no celebration until Kerry officially concedes.
We must continue to work like we're 3 points down.
The 96 hour GOTV effort will be the key.
We must win in a landslide for these reasons:
1. To overcome the Dem Vote Fraud machine.
2. To give Bush a mandate for his second term
3. To demoralize the Dems on the West Coast after the race is called early, which should effect the Dems GOTV effort, which could mean a couple more Senate seats for the Republicans.
This may be the first election in which the loser never conceds ... at least, if that loser is John Kerry.
Thankfully, it really doesn't count for much whether he says "no mas" or not.
I'm still praying for no less than a 10 pt lead across the board. How can the polls change so much so fast? Are their really that many mush minds out there? God Help Us!
Here is the map
Don't get mad at them. It's kinda like watching monkeys at the zoo, they're so DUmb they're funny.
See above from our Home Town paper........
Maybe this was why CNN radio put out the bogus Kerry poll numbers today that had Kerry up by 6 points. That would be a 14 point bounce for Kerry in less than a week. This might happen in make believe, like on West Wing, but not as the Time poll shows, in the real world. Also, Rush seemed pretty optimistic the last few days. I bet you he has real internal poll numbers that show Bush pulling away. If it were the opposite, Rush would have sounded the alarm. Finally, the Goose hunt was a major gaffe for Kerry. Its like Kerry pulled an October surprise on himself.
When I saw that photo of the Taserer this morning, I was sure it was photoshopped. Tonight it's on Drudge. How could the Kerry campaign let her run around loose like that, two-fisted beer drinking? They must be drunk themselves. Or something!
I'm with you. We have a lot to overcome (especially here in CA) and need to GOTV. "Now more than ever!"
Are they the only people in this country who have called it for Kerry?
