1-4 sounds kind of long. Are there going to be a lot of speakers?
I am no great fan of Chris Shays but at least he is better than the Demo nominee. Shays is the only Republican rep. from CT who votes against partial birth abortion.

Its exit 16 off I-95; coming from the north after you exit at 16 proceed to the top of the exit and turn right which is East Ave. Its about 6-8 blocks down the road.. The road actually is split by the Twon Green so you can't miss it. I'd count on most of the action between 1 and 3 or so. Hope to see you there. We'll be handing out baloons and signs etc. for the president. Look for us and say hello

I was indeed there and was glad I went. I spoke with a few people but wasn't sure who the FR members might be. I should have asked for some kind of sign. ;-) In any case I hope we can meet another time.
I held up a Bush-Cheney sign by the street for a while and it was exhilarating. I think we got more honks of support than boos and jeers. Of course the Kerry lovers in their cars couldnt hear me but I would yell back at them something like a vote for Kerry is a vote for the terrorists. ;-)
Rep. Shays is not a hard line conservative but I have to admire him for going so many times to Iraq. I think he may be the only US rep from CT to vote against partial birth abortion too so we have that in common.
Finally, Bernard Kerik was a very powerful speaker. I think most of us there already knew of Kerry's record of retreat and surrender on defense and intelligence issues. But Kerik made the points very well again. It's pretty sad that 45% of more of the American people (if you believe polls) are willing to elect this candidate who by his own words says he will not be proactive in defending America.
Hi everybody! It was wonderful to see Race and Laserlock again! It was a beautiful day, the leaves are just starting to turn colors and we had tons of signs. A young Mom with baby in tow held up a sign saying 'Motherhood is a REAL job!' We cheered and pledged allegiance to the flag and sang. Mr Kerik's speech was inspiring and I hope we will have other happy opportunities to get together (and not a repeat of last election's Loserman Freep at Lieberman's house!)
To All:
What a day! We lined the major road thru town with our terrific posters (created by our own Freeper Suzell) and welcomed everyone to Bush Country. By every estimate (and by honking horns) the response indicates that even in CT Kerry is DOOOMED! Then terrific speeches by local pols, Rep. Chris Shays and FMr. NYC top-cop,Bernie Kerik-he was as you'd expect...over the top. Best part was the reverence shown our Vets and Troops. Great to see Race at the helm and Laserlock and the rest of the command in place. Some days you go to sleep KNOWING you made a difference....

I stopped by briefly with my kids to pick a new yard sign. Couldn't stay long though, as my wife was home sick with a bad cold. I did lean on the horn a bit and gave a big thumbs up as we drove by!
