On that LA Times thing, I went with whoever was ahead in most states. Then I decided who would win the white ones and I have just 5 toss-ups.

Iowa (7), Penn (21), Ohio (20), NH (4), Fla (27).

Most of the other states don't seem close enough to me.

BUSH ALREADY WINS???!!!!

281-205 (270 needed) with 52 too close to call.

See if you agree!!

I am a So Cal conservative who would not find it such a hardship to see parts of LA and the bay area fall into the ocean. Then a lovely change on the map would occur and all would be well. (sigh) Alas, we can only dream.

That is 357 for the president. A nice tidy margin.

Check out the link in #14

Here is how I have it.

Bush wins Arkansas, Missouri, Michigan, Wisconsin...Kerry wins New Mexico, Oregon, Illinois, Maine, New Jersey.

In all I have 5 toss-ups.

Penn, Ohio, Florida, Iowa and New Hampshire.

Under this scenario Bush has won without any of the toss-ups. Is this LA Times thing broken???

Bush- 281, (270 needed to win). Kerry-205 --- 52 electoral votes up for grabs.

See if its the same on your computer.

All I have to say is that if Bush wins Michigan then he's won Ohio, Florida, Iowa, and Pennsylvania.

BUSH- Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indianapolis, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Alaska, Wisconsin, Michigan......
KERRY-California, New York, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, Maine, Vermont, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Delaware, Maryland, DC.

TOSS-UPS- Iowa, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida.

BUSH has 281 electoral votes without winning a toss-up. 270 required for victory.

52 electoral votes are up for grabs while KERRY has 205 in his pocket.

How many states did I get wrong???

The LA TIMES said that Bush is winning Michigan 47% to 43% with 1% for Nader and 9% undecided.

If Kerry gets Arkansas, I doubt it, it would be 275-211 with 52 EV's for the toss-up. Bush would win without any of the 5 toss-ups.

If Kerry gets Arkansas...

Who thinks Kerry will get Arkansas? One of the neat things this election is how at long last the wayward states of Arkansas and West Virginia have joined their brethren states of Tennessee and Kentucky solidly in the Republican fold.
