Dear sir or maam (an open letter, please distribute):
As of late something has come to my attention regarding the 28 million people in the United States with hearing losses (mild to profound) that the Kerry/Edwards campaign is claiming to have full support/endorsement of (http://www.johnkerry.com/pressroom/releases/pr_2004_1008a.html). A group called the National Deaf and Hard of Hearing Americans for Kerry-Edwards Steering Committee
(http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=%22National+Deaf+and+Hard+of+Hearing+Americans+for+Kerry-Edwards+Steering+Committee%22&btnG=Search)
whose letter of endorsement that was placed in the Kerry/Edwards website purporting to say that essentially 27 million deaf and hard of hearing people endorse the Kerry-Edwards ticket. This is a blatant attempt by this new organization and the Kerry-Edwards campaign to lay claim a base of 27 to 28 million people who are deaf and hard of hearing as their own. This could not be further from the truth. . . . .
eh?
This group has 12 members probably
Maybe this explains all the goofy hand gestures.
Some sort of French sign language.
As a hard-of-hearing person, I can firmly state I am with President Bush. When Kerry said he was going to make the lame to walk, I suspected he would make the blind to see, also. Now, he promises the deaf to hear? Yeah, right. Thank God I can turn off my hearing aids and his pandering doesn't bother me one bit. And I know exactly the sign language communication for what he is, but it isn't nice to show here.
You should see the derogative signs that some sign language interpreters (Democrat supporters no less) use whenever "Bush" is mentioned by hearing Democrat supporters.
Actually, the number is much greater than 12 on the number of deaf and hard of hearing Republicans/Independents who support Bush. :)
Here's the website's "open letter" regarding sKerry.
