"DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. - A camouflage-clad Sen. John Kerry went goose hunting Thursday while President Bush paid a call on the archbishop of a heavily Catholic battleground state, a clash of symbolism in a tight race for the White House.
Unimpressed with Kerry's shotgun-toting excursion, Vice President Dick Cheney accused Kerry of donning an "October disguise" to keep his record on gun issues hidden from the voters."
"Kerry told reporters he had bagged a goose, but by the account of his own aide, that wasn't the point. It's important that voters "get a better sense of John Kerry, the guy," Mike McCurry said of the 60-year-old Massachusetts senator"

LOL! It's amazing that Republicans have the better speech writers this year. Kerry's attempts to tell jokes are so filled with venom and self-importance. Matt Damon ought to spend his million dollars buying Kerry a sense of humor.
I think the story has been twisted.
Rather than going goose hunting, he was learning the goose step.
It was always goose hunting as far as I know.
Hugh Hewitt is asking "how do you ask a goose to be the last goose to die for a mistake?"
DU Maintains Political Neutrality in Presidential Race
We are aware that U.S. Senator John Kerry hunted Canada geese in Ohio earlier today (October 21, 2004). Press reports show that the Senator was wearing a Ducks Unlimited hat and that he was hunting with a local Ducks Unlimited member and supporter.
Ducks Unlimited is a non-partisan organization. DU has no affiliation with any political party, nor do we endorse any political candidate. However, it should be recognized that in support of our wildlife habitat conservation work, the Ducks Unlimited logo is branded on many products, including hats, jackets, and other clothing.
One gentleman on the trip was misidentified as a local Ducks Unlimited "board" member. He is not a member of Ducks Unlimited's board of directors. No one was there to represent Ducks Unlimited in any way during the hunting trip. Ducks Unlimited has 1 million members and supporters who also have a variety of political affiliations.

The news I want to see is "Kerry's Goose Is Officially Cooked!" I would much rather have gotten the news from President Bush's meeting. I'll bet it was quite interesting!
"Honk if your goose is cooked"
One sound bite I thought was interesting - Kerry said "everyone got a goose". Someone asked "where's your goose?" Kerry's response was something like "I'm just lazy."
It was bizarre. THIS is the guy that's going to hunt down the terrorists?
I'm not sure I understand your question. Do ducks and geese fly in the same flocks? No
Do ducks and geese decoy to the same decoys. Yes they can, but they won't land next to each other. In fact I shoot as mant ducks using goose decoys as I do with duck decoys. Geese however don't usually decoy to duck decoys.
Wiping my eyes.....John Kerry, "the guy." Manicure. Dorky expression. Loping gait. Waiting patiently for him to shoot himself in the foot. Oh, wait. Teh-raayyy-zah already did that for him. Hoo hah! It just gets better and better!
"Hoo hah! It just gets better and better!"
Finally this election does look like it might be a lot of fun.
A lame attempt to masculinize Kerry. "Vote for me, I can kill something." I don't know who he is trying to impress but his base will not be happy.
Let's see now, did he have to beach his punt under withering fire from the geese? Did he have to rescue comrades who had been goosed? When he killed his goose, was it dressed only in its underwear? Did he shoot it in the front or back? Does he actually know which end of the gun the shot comes out of??? Is he glad there wern't more geese?
After the hairdressing video of Edwards on Drudgereport, its hard to know which of those 2 is the most feminine.
Was it given to him before a ducks unlimited member went on a secret hunting trip to Cambodia?
Kind of blew that when he made someone else carry the goose.
On Nov. 3rd Kerry will have the big goose egg.
