Axe-chopping at Black & Decker.
Other sources indicate some production being outsourced to China as well.

So? Companies do have to make a profit to stay in business.

Thank god they are shipping these jobs overseas to save the high paying techincal jobs here.
Right Willie?

Tools from China are junk.

The problem with B & D is that they tried to get too big for their britches and it backfired. They should have stuck to their niche - drills and power tools. They tried to produce other products that were inferior to the competition and which created a glut in the market.

...and, our government has a responsibility for creating a profitable environment within our own borders. There is no point in having a government funded by us that is satisfied to define industry as something which must reside in China and elsewhere. There are other governments out there that are specifically charged with looking after the interests of their own nations. We may as well fire off the entire federal government and annex ourselves to somebody gives a hoot and has enough competence to do the job.

Hey Willie,
I guess you didn't get the memo. Pat says he's back on W's team. Get with the program!

Craftsman quality. Made in America. Since 1926, Craftsman has been one of the most respected brands in the world. The quality and dependability of Craftsman tools can be directly attributed to the thousands of American workers who have provided their skills and dedication to setting, maintaining and expanding the high standards of Craftsman quality.

Thank you so much for the news of the new hirings. So I guess that it's ok if the President takes 700 jobs away from people so long as the President creates 701 new jobs.
He sure must be a very busy man creating and destroying jobs all day long.

Moving to Calcutta soon.
Going to be a low wage pimp tycoon.

So I guess that it's ok if the President takes 700 jobs away from people . . . The President took them? Did someone leave the gate open? Or was it outright larceny?

I think the last time we check the border, it was wide open.

How did the president destroy or create those jobs? Please let us all know, so we can save the country.
