The qualifiers appear to be that one on the list has supported a conservative or libertarian cause, so several grains of salt are needed. For example, I believe James Earl Jones opposes gun-grabbing but is otherwise apolotical.

I've read before that Adam Sandler is a Republican, don't know about the rest except for the obvious ones.

My (18 year-old) sister watches it, no need for children...

I saw the biography on Jimmy Fallon the other night - very conservative - objects to profanity and sleaze.

I agree that several chunks of rock salt are needed with this list. Ron Howard, as someone just mentioned -- he's very active in Dem politics, probably just gave money to McCain. Greg Norman, who as far as I know is still an Aussie citizen, was a big pal of Clinton -- I don't know if that makes him a Dem necessarily, but it doesn't sound like something a Republican would be. Now Nicklaus, Palmer, Mickelson, Woods and many other golfers have been pretty upfront about where they are politically. James Earl Jones, BTW, has indeed been very supportive of Bush on the Iraq war and the WOT in general.

I have my doubts too. Especially Joan Allen- she lives near me on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Seems like a liberal to me - but wait, she did play Pat Nixon in "Nixon."

SMG's husband Freddie Prinze Jr. has publicly admitted to being a Republican, but Sarah has never made any claim.
