With a barrage of four home runs, the Red Sox eliminated the Yankees with a 10-3 victory in Game 7 of the A.L.C.S.

The rules were very simple. The Yankees won and their rivals lost, often painfully, eternal justice for the worst trade in baseball history. The Red Sox still have not won a World Series in 86 years. But they got there last night, playing the Babe's game in the house that he built.
More . . .
I loved referencing "The New York Times".
So depending on the outcome of the NLCS we could have a Massachusetts vs. Texas World Series. How cool is that?
Heh, this win should provide a little consolation for the Bostonians as their presidential candidate tanks... ;-)
WHO'S YOUR DADDY!
Pats first win in a Superbowl was against ST. LOUIS RAMS.
The Cardinals are from where??? Think about that!
The Curse has nothing to do with the Yankees beating or not beating the Red Sox. They definitely beat the Yanks, and the Yanks definitely played poorly, with their bullpen, starting pitching, and hitting all failing. But that doesn't break the curse. If the Sox win the WS, then the curse is broken. Otherwise, much ado about nothing.
I only hope that it will be after the election, because the Sox will trounce the Astros.
The Dark Empire still took a major blow last night. That alone counts for something.
In some weird way, for the Sawks, the WS is almost anti-climatic. I hope the "Strps win the NL..facing Clemens will get Boston's attention//
I'm an original fan of the original Astros from nine years old, but as a 26-year Red Sox season ticket holder, if it comes to it, I will root for my adopted team.
I loved seeing that CHEATER A-ROT sitting there in disgust for the thought he went over to the darkside because of his brazon greediness!
Yankee haters will have fun looking at the NY pitching situation for next year:
Mussina (38?, in decline)
Lieber (OK, I guess, no great shakes)
Brown (40, hee hee)
Vazquez (hee hee)
and uhhh.... Loaiza?
And there's absolutely nothing on the farm. And middle relief needs an overhaul as well (Quatrill, Heredia, possibly Gordon as well).
George will have to buy at least 2-3 top starters, at least 2 top middle relievers (definitely a big lefty), and break the bank at $150 million for Carlos Beltran.
Yankee fans, get ready for $40 parking and $12 beers on top of your $100 tickets.
No, officially, but HISTORY was made against the Sox arch rivals. In MLB, no team has EVER come back from a 0-3 deficit and won a series!
The Sox win is without a doubt one of the GREATEST, if not THE GREATEST wins in sports history! That comes very close to surpressing the "curse."
Some think this is better than the WS, but the point is the Sox crushed the arrogant, prickish, greedy "Ywankers!"
Where's a guy get a drink in this town and why does it hurt when I pee?
Yankees pink slip list:
Torre
Brown - idiot punched the wall and let his team down
Gordon - choke artist
Heredia - sux
Clark - sux
Giambi - useless
Williams - old
El Duque - old
Did you notice A-ROT sitting there just wishing HE was on the winning team instead follow the advice of his greedy-assed agent...He was regreting that move last night, BIG TIME!
This needs to happen more often to the Wankees so it shows eventhough $$$ may be able to buy great players, it does NOT buy championships, or a GREAT team!
I about fell of the couch, hearing that chanted by the fans. ;)
There's even one possible scenerio where Clemens could be playing game 7 in Boston on Halloween! (that should scare the Babe's ghost away)
