Gov. Bush Calls Reports Of Voter Registration Fraud 'Bizarre'
POSTED: 5:40 pm EDT October 20, 2004 UPDATED: 5:41 pm EDT October 20, 2004 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Gov. Jeb Bush says he's bothered by reports of possible fraud involving some voter registration forms that have been turned in across the state.
Election supervisors in a few counties have reported that the party affiliation of some voters have been changed without their approval.
One of those cases was in Alachua County.
The elections supervisor there gave more than 500 voter registration forms to local prosecutors. Some of the people whose names were on those forms say their party affiliation was fraudulently changed to Republican.
The governor says he's troubled by those reports. He calls it "bizarre" and questions whether it's part of an organized effort to cause problems in this election.

Yeah, part of the democrat playbook to create a problem where none exists.
The RATS want to shake the foundations of this country on election day. It's going to get ugly and all the blame is on the demoRATS.

I presume this causes no problems for the current
election, but needs correcting before the next primary.
If so, then my guess is that the changes are the result
of get-out-the-vote workers being paid per registration,
but only for registrations with the desired party, or
perhaps bonuses for the desired party.
If so, this is a scam on the sponsor, but may not cause
any real harm during the election. Nonetheless, some
arrests and convictions are in order.
Up Next: The racist anti-Black flyer "found" in copy machine in Black district. Obviously left by a Republican.
When one party decides along with some judicial prostitutes that showing identification is not necessary and one does not have to even vote in his/her own precinct, it opens the door to fraud.
'Rats are political prostitutes, crooks, liars and frauds. Pubs would be foolish not to address and take care of these "voting issues" along with the foolish McInsane/Finkgold nonsense during the next four years after W's re-election.
These issues are cut and dry to anyone with a shred of common sense that possesses the modicum of integrity.
Mom said integrity, integrity, integrity.
He ignored her.
blessings, bobo
"Go get them, Jeb" indeed -- this is all about wreaking havoc in our state. As if the hurricanes were not enough. Bunch of shameless carpetbaggers.
I didn't see any confusion when I was there. I've been voting since Carter was elected. I've voted in several states over the years. It seemed the same as every election I've ever voted in.
It certainly is. The ones in Alachua County seem to have been students at UF in Gainesville who, according to an article, thought they were signing a petition and were actually signing a voter re-registration form. (And these kids are considered smart enough to be in COLLEGE?)
In any case, it appears that this was done by an individual in a private company hired by the GOP to do voter registration. Check that person out carefully, and I bet you'll find he's a Dem plant. Exactly the same fraud happened in one of the Western states recently, and also involved an employee of a private "consulting" company.
Check this out:
Last week Hill began reviewing the forms collected at the University of Florida and other schools by a man named Mark Jacoby. He worked for a contractor that signed up voters for the Republican Party of Florida.
A further search on Mr. Jacoby reveals:
Although his company encourages students to register Republican, it is not sneaky in doing so, said YPM owner Mark Jacoby, who added he worked for Al Gores campaign in the 2000 presidential election.
Jesse Hijackson's next move is to say "Jeb is trying to steal the election for his brother". These Dim Bulbs are so predictable.
Ummmm .. correct me if I'm wrong .. but during a general election, can't you vote for who every you want, regardless of the party you are registered with???
Wow! That's dynamite information. If you know anybody to forward it to, please do so. I'm going to send it to our local GOP chairman here in Alachua County. Thanks!
Glad to help...it never ceases to amaze me that even though Al Gore claims to have invented the internet, liberals seem to keep forgetting that we have some awesome search engines available to catch them with their hands in the cookie jar.
WFTV just had news at 6pm which said FDLE is investigating this statewide. A total of 4,000 students have been duped they said. WFTV reporter said YPM (YOUNG POLITICAL MAJORS), A TAMPA GROUP, was hired by ARNO POLITICAL CONSULTANTS, A CALIFORNIA COMPANY which has a website that brags about work on national campaigns. YPM was the group on the campuses. As an aside..ARNO is named in a lawsuit in Florida regarding 2 workers who forged signatures for $6.00 each in a gambling petition drive. I do not know the date.
What advantage is gained in Florida by being registered one way or the other in a general election?
It doesn't matter but this is all about claiming fraud and getting lawyers involved. Just goes to show how desperate they are getting and how stupid they think the American people are.
