A couple of things. Remember why Kerry and Edwards brought up the fact that Mary Cheney is a lesbian? They wanted to do what they could to depress Karl Rove's Christian legions and keep them home. Worked in 2000, why not try it now?
The anus was probably talking to a friend who works in the lower rungs of Kerry's campaign. Those people are -always- talking to their online friends. The people who actually know something aren't talking. They're looking at their internals and wondering why they are heading south.
So, they have to tell the troops that they've got some magic weapon that will kill BushHitler. They have a weapon, I'll bet, but it's hardly magic.
Now I have ALWAYS known that Bush will be assaulted by some out of the woodwork charge. It will be leveled on Thursday of next week, not Friday. Remember, the DUI thing came out on the Thursday preceding the election in 2000. Gives it one day plus Friday to dominate the nightly propaganda shows that the networks put on PLUS the talking head shows heading into the election.
So what will they do? Well, remember the one guarandamteeya thing that almost always works is sex. The Democrats will use a cutout, perhaps Larry Flynt, perhaps one of their other outriders, to level one of two charges:
1. That Bush had a homosexual relationship with some rump ranger they will dig up who served in either the Texas or Alabama Air National Guard. This clown will surface, will have neither proof nor pudding, but the Dems will hope that that will be enough to keep the Christians away from the polls. Now remember, most liberals despise Christians, and in so doing, believe that Christians are ignorant and "easily led". I suspect that such a charge would backfire, but again, one can never tell with a gay slander.
Andrew Sullivan might be happy, however.
2. OR, someone will surface who will swear up and down that Bush and Condi Rice have been having a sexual affair. Now this actually might resonate better among some black voters. You'll recall that Bush has been scoring in the high teens in some recent surveys of black voters? Well, some of them really don't like Dr. Rice because her accomplishments have been made on her own. A sex charge might service their assumptions that Condi has been sleeping her way to the top. Further, the Dems would hope that this would piss off women, who would wonder how Bush could have betrayed Laura.
The concept that Condi could simply be a very close friend to the Bushes will not have entered the heads of the Kerry campaign people, of course. There will have had to be something untoward going on.
Remember that this is how these people think. They are scraping the bottom of the barrel now as Bush begins to pull away; so they will get desperate. Understand who John Kerry is-a man of low character, big ego, and extremely high ambition who has been a rich woman's plaything most of his life. He will do virtually anything to gain the Presidency.
The fact that he could not hope to unite the country and lead the nation in the midst of a global war after such a hideously ugly campaign has not crossed his mind, and never would.
That is what we face. Therefore, let us as Republicans recall what Mr. Churchill said in the dark days of 1940:
"Let us go forward together."
Be Seeing You,
Chris
excellent analysis - I wouldn't put anything past these creeps. Especially after - "if we lose, we're gonna sue".
Good post !
Keeping the evangelical voters home is important to the Dems. They are the Republicans secret weapon. In Missouri alone, they comprise 36% of the voters and help defeat gay marriage last August (70% no versus 30% yes). The last-minute DUI created the margin of uncertainty in the 2000 election when 4,000,000 Christians stayed home. This time if they stay home, not only will Bush lose, the Senate may switch and the gay marriage bill may pass in many states.
I think the charge is going to be so ridiculous and outrageous, it won't have the legs for a Thursday release. I say it's going to come out late Saturday to late Sunday. There won't be a full news cycle to get it refuted utterly, so voters will walk into the booth with some ridiculous notion that Bush had sex with little boys or something.
A very likely scenario.
I have been amazed at how clean the RNC has been running this election. Too bad the democrats cant do he same thing. Lies and innuendo seem to comprise their entire campaign.
Possibly, but I still don't see it. A Kerry Presidency would shut Hillary out for at least 12 years. If the Dems were really, really serious where is the Clinton support? Where's the Bill? Gore is a candy-a$$ whiny cry-baby has been, but he's the highest ranking they have? TehRayZah is doing John-Fraude no favors either. The handlers and the mediots would quashed some of the stuff that the African-American Queen has said.
They are feeding the rank and file lines of b/s so that the morning after they can whine and cry about the election being stolen out from under the noses of the foots soldiers monitoring the polls. Keep the frenzy whipped up for a while and Hillary will have a much easier time in 2008.
That's right. :-) It's already marked on my calendar.
Maybe Wed. evening if the goons are especially worried.
Well, I know they are going to do something, but I sure hope it isn't this disgusting. I despise these people more than I can say.
