Authorities arrest five after string of attacks, robberies

In less than an hour Sunday morning eight people walking in Greenville's university area fell victim to a group of armed robbers, police said.

Before sunrise, Greenville police officers had arrested four Martin County men they believe were responsible and had taken into custody a 15-year-old girl they also believe was involved.

I live in Martin Co. And Hamilton is where I am from. The young man in question is a problem, he used to try and vandalize my church.

"He had to hit me for $13? I gave him what he wanted, and he still had to hit me?" Brady said. His eye still swollen from the assault, Brady said he's happy the men are behind bars.

Charged with multiple counts of armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and common law robbery, each man was being held under a $50,000 bond.

These "men" didn't care about the money. This was about violence. They were getting there thrills by dominating innocent people.

Only $50K bond? The writing is on the wall--next time, someone will be killed.
