PITTSBURGH, Oct. 20 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Teresa Heinz Kerry released the following statement today:
"I had forgotten that Mrs. Bush had worked as a school teacher and librarian, and there couldn't be a more important job than teaching our children. As someone who has been both a full time mom and full time in workforce, I know we all have valuable experiences that shape who we are. I appreciate and honor Mrs. Bush's service to the country as First Lady, and am sincerely sorry I had not remembered her important work in the past."

HA, good point.
Your " If you were married to Mama T, you'd drink a lot,too " comment reminded me of something that bothers me about Kerry and it bugged me about Clinton.
Has anyone else noticed that like Clinton, Kerry seems to always require a drink or bottle of water close by ?
Clinton almost never appeared in public without a white styrofoam cup in his hand.
Kerry always has a bottle of water or a cup in his hand .
He can't ride his bike a half a block with having his sippee cup by his side.
It's either a prop, a security blanket or an indication that he has some kind of metabolic condition like diabetes or kidney malfunction.
But, since we know more about Saddam Hussein's medical history than we do about Kerry's, we can only guess on the latter.
LOL I am starting to think this witch may do more damage to our country as a first "lady" than her gigolo husband as President.
bump for later read

Yes, she blew it. When this woman speaks she throws so many words into a sentence that just don't make sense...like her husband.
This woman kerry or heinz or whatever she goes by is a national disgrace. She wonders allowed why her parents ever left Africa to come to THIS country.
I jsut read something baout her saying living in the White House would be a downer?????????????????/
She's a loose canon and is an embarassment to this country. She does not belong in the White House and neither does her husband. We already have a beautiful First Lady and President who is a real man currently in the White House and they will be in there for the next four years Mrs. Kerry/heins or whatever you go by...so don't worry about it being a downer moving into our house....you wn't get the chance. Bush/Cheney 2004 will win in a landslide and then we won't have to hear from your humdrum mouth ever again.
She's only saying that because she probably gave them all h eart attacks in the party after they heard her latest gaffe and they told her she HAS to say she is sorry and HAS to sound like she means it. Otherwise she wouldn't have aplogized.
There's no way this woman could have forgotten about Laura Bush's past employment as a Teacher and Librarian. No way. She said what she said and she meant it just like her ole man said what he said about Mary Cheney and he meant it. These people are the lowest of low in this life. They are both a disgrace and have no business leading this country. Besides...her husband can't lead this country. He doesn't have the brains...neithe rdoes his running mate and oh yeah.......his foot in mouth bride Elizabeth. j What losers all of them.
Or as they say in the septic tank business "The REALLY BIG PIECES float right to the top!"
Regards,
GtG
Her "retraction" came quick huh? You bet! She was TOLD to do that. It did not come from her heart. No way...no how!
Bootyist-Monk, you are baaaaaaaaaad.
Vewwwy vewwwwy baaaaaaaad.
;-P
Aunt Tah-RAY-zah is like the energizer bunny she just keeps going and going and going.
In defense of John Lennon, he was referring to the fact that the young people of the day considered the Beatles to be more important than Jesus. He was not claiming that they were more important than Jesus, but the ridiculousness of their fame. This whole statement was blown way out of proportion by the Bible-belters, and all their record burning only assured that my Beatles record collection became all the more valuable :)
This is soooo funny. It's too late. We all know she's a screw-up.
On Brit's roundtable they just said - "Would you believe what Teresa said off the cuff or what she said in a carefully prepared statement probably prepared by her staff... it goes to show the elitist attitude"
No, not in my wildest dreams. Or anymore than I can see Slick Willie as "First Whatever".
I can't take it. If I blow anything else out of my nose while reading this stuff I'm calling Edwards about a booger suit. Surely I can sue somebody here....
"Being a classy lady, of course Mrs. Bush will accept the apology. You're right. She didn't accuse Mrs. Bush of some immoral act, just that she'd never held a regular job. No biggy"
===
I agree, in that of course Mrs. Bush will be gracious and accept her apology.
I disagree, though - any and all teachers/librarians/stay-at-home Moms will not forgive/forget. Personally, I'm none of those things and I won't forget.
I imagine many a Democrat operative is wringing hands wildly trying to figure out how to muzzle Tereza. Tee-hee.
OK, they just announced this is the top story on the local ABC news in New York City during The Bachelor commercial break which millions of women are watching.
This will hurt.
