PITTSBURGH, Oct. 20 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Teresa Heinz Kerry released the following statement today:

"I had forgotten that Mrs. Bush had worked as a school teacher and librarian, and there couldn't be a more important job than teaching our children. As someone who has been both a full time mom and full time in workforce, I know we all have valuable experiences that shape who we are. I appreciate and honor Mrs. Bush's service to the country as First Lady, and am sincerely sorry I had not remembered her important work in the past."

did you notice how paranoid sKerry is? in your pic, he's using two Solo cups put together. those cups don't have two white rims--everything must be leaking, you know.

I'm not sure I want a first lady who worked for the United Nations, do you?

Be fair. it was a long time ago. (and she only worked for a very short time)

exactly right. She was simply trying to say something about strong families and how that sometimes includes people like Laura Bush, who is a luh-luh-luh loafer. And she's sure if you were to ask Laura, Laura would tell you that she has no choice in the matter, she was born that way.

Yes, she was a translator for the United Nations. I'm not sure I want a first lady who worked for the United Nations, do you? Between her background and her husband's statement that he would rather see US serviceman die for the UN that the US, I think they're a dangerous duo.

Good point!! Doesn't sound like a great idea to me either!!

Beat me to it! I preferred to think she was under some influence rather than just being arrogant.

I don't get this need to pile on. Ter-AY-za said something stupid and then apologized for it. What more is she supposed to do, slash her wrists?

My guess is that Laura Bush will be gracious enough to accept her apology. And if she can do that, who are we to demand more?

Don't forget how she was smearing Laura at a rally in Iowa last week.

Her "important work in the past" was pre-1966.

Take a look at the Kerry site. They actually refer to this garbage mouth lady as "Mother Teresa Jr"

Unfrigginbelievable.

I've had the TV off all day. What exactly did Theresa say that she's apologizing for now?

I mean, I can sort of *infer* it from the apology, but I'd rather see her words as she originally spewed them...
