Delays because of fog or rain are the big problem around here.
I give the district a lot of credit, though........they do their best to keep everyone informed. When Isabel was heading this way last year, a note got sent home on Tuesday that school would be closed Thursday and Friday. There were 2 reasons for that, the first being the safety of the children, the 2nd being the schools are the shelters.
I much prefer they err on the side of caution - even though it is difficult for many people.
The only gripe I have is that we have little snow here, maybe 20 days worth and usually not in a row. Sometimes, it will dust a little and they have off.
Of course, they don't have the plows like they did in PA, but c'mon! If everyone else can make it to work.........
