I have a friend who manages sixty stock brokers, and this morning I asked him what the hell is the matter with the stock market. His reply was that George Soros and his ilk are manipulating the oil futures market, and that after the election oil prices will fall like a rock.

Soros might be able to manipulate our stock market but I think the oil market is well beyond what he can screw with.

Not if he's got all his euro-buddies in politics and the finance media to help out.
I've been thinking that this is the deal with the oil market for some time.

I would have to agree. The oil markets are just way to huge (err... hugh) to mess with. Let's not give the guy more credit than he deserves.

Soros and his well connected leftists have enough money to buy contracts by the gazillions which control the price of oil. Do your homework.

Our equities market dwarfs the oil markets exponentially.
A Dr. Evil like Soros would have an easier time fooling with oil. However....it would be very very costly to pump up the price all by oneself.

Oil futures can be impacted by one guy of Soros's wealth...don't kid yourself. Not to mention that he can drag a few of his wealthy buddies with him and the huges funds they control.

The Arab world dominates the oil markets. What better way to pressure us to end a war that makes them uncomfortable? Then theres China, their need for oil is growing at an astounding rate.

absolutely. anytime speculative money, money from buyers who aren't entering the market because they actually want to buy oil and actually use it, enters a commodity market - you can get these kinds of price run ups.

Don't forget Soros did the same to the currency markets in manipulating the British pound.
He not only obliterated the Tories' record of economic competence, he made a lot of money in the process.
