Thousands of new-voter cards in Ohio undeliverable (fraud alert)
That could be a big factor if huge numbers of these "voters" don't show up. If someone is pounding the bricks, getting paid per name or per hour, their main incentive is to get any name they can or outright make them up. Lots of padding with phonys to get more money. Also, just registering when someone makes it easy for you does not mean they show up at the voting booth.
If they try to pad the vote with absentee ballots, it is more dangerous for them than dubious registrations because those votes are watched more closely.
I understand and agree. It's probably quite likely that there are many fraudulant registrations..
But I would guesstimate that several thousand of these are just mistakes or moves.
How many voters voted in 2000 in Ohio.. I can't look up the #'s at my work computer.
Yah, but again REGISTRATIONS do not equal VOTES. There is no way if there is an unusual number of absentees all this stuff doesn't get re-counted. You have to realize that the plan was IMHO not to vote these people but to "register" so as to build up this aura of inevitability about a Kerry win. I don't ever think there was a plan to try to vote these registrations, even with absentees. It's too obvious, and too easily caught, as we see.
The 'Rats are out in force this election. I'd bet at least 5% of the total vote will be fraudulent in Ohio.
Bump
This whole thing about Ohioans casting a ballot just anyplace is crazy. There are local issues that vary from precinct to precinct. With the judge's blessing, people will be voting on whether or not somebody else will have different aldermen, no garbage taxes, etc. President, Governor--universal statewide ballot. But being able to vote on issues which really effect your neighbor is one of the responsibilities of voting. Do I really want a guy from a different part of town having a say over what happens in my district?
Wonder how many of these "people" are going to show up and vote with provisional ballots. Anyone know what OH's ruling is on provisional ballots?
"Once Bush wins the election there needs to be some sort of national voting requirement that's the same for every state. Every person who votes must vote at their prescribed precinct with identification...and if their is any question, two forms of ID. Wa-laa. Why is this so difficult?"
It is difficult because according to activist judges and the ACLU it violates your civil rights. So your rights will be taken away by cheaters.
Sir.
Your inference that union members are crack-heads is patently offense.
They are NOT crack-heads. Drunks and wife beaters, yes - crack-heads, no.
:-)
It's lower than that. Because most of these registrations - if valid - would be because somebody moved. The likelihood that you would register to vote without knowing you were about to move (again?) and then forget to re-re-register is pretty slim.
Wouldn't someone who moved have their mail forwarded? That's usually what I do!
In the registration battle, Dems and Pubbies may be tied, but since many Dem registrations are coming out to be fraudulant, perhaps we will, indeed, win the battle.
If this law were to pass, the democrats would be out of power for the next 50 years. So Bush and the republicans need to win with enough votes to override the fiercest challenge to a piece of legislation we've ever seen.
In democrat precincts, the poll officials DELIBERATELY DON'T look at ID's and people, they deliberately encourage as many as possible to vote as many times as possible!
We need the smoking gun. The lists of these registrations exists somewhere or they would be of no use. Also, a conspiracy this large has got to have a weak link somewhere. We need to find it.
I'm sure that is true and has long been true in some places.
That factor will be the same in this election.
Good Point. With some people right across the street is a different state senator or state representative. How can you legitimately vote in another city or district and have all of your representatives be on the ballot?
CITIZENS?
I saw a woman Sat nite who is a national expect on election law and re-districting. She is shocked by the judge's decision about out-of-precinct voting because of its disregard for local implications. Because of that, upon appeal, it might not hold up.
They may be undeliverable, but what do you bet that these guys won't show up for their provisional ballot?
