Actually I know it goes back as far as Lyndon Johnson's first run for office when they stuffed the ballot box with votes from people buried in the local graveyard. Big Joe Kennedy perfected the art and Al Gore was so clumsy at it the cat came out of the bag.

The Democrats have gotten away with voter fraud for decades. Lyndon Johnson in Texas. Richard Nixon could have protested the Cook County vote in Chicago that gave the election to Kennedy, but for the good of the country, he didn't. Lawton Chiles stole Jeb Bush's first run for Florida governor, but it wasn't protested either.

Maybe Republicans knew it was futile to fight back. Maybe they didn't want to wreck havoc with the voting process after the fact. Maybe they were just timid dumbshits. Different ballgame now. George W. Bush will fight back.

"May Al Gore bark in Hell for starting this precedent!"

Gore tied up the transition from getting started for 2 months. In the best of circumstances it is generally felt that it takes about a year for a new adminsitration to get settled in. Yet when Sept. 11 occurred the Democrats want people to blame President Bush that it happened "on his watch".

Typical distorted liberal reasoning that exonorates them from all blame in all matters.
