I didn't know that, but it does make sense given the recent legalization of prostitution -- anything to make inroads into the acceptance of general perversion and 'alternate lifestyles'.

Something tells me that within 10 years, NZs eco-fascism, emigration trends, and HCs 'tax and unwisely spend' policies bring about a real pile driver from the law of unintended consequences. This place seems like California Lite in many ways.

I can tell ya, LA (and I mean the liberal parts like santa Monica and not the Orange County) will look conservative when compared to NZ. The Bay Area is another matter - I'm long wondered if San Francico BA is in the wrong country.
