Has he endorsed Kerry, or merely kept his mouth shut like all of them should? Thank you!

#24 always seems right at home when he's sitting on the pole!

Kind of what I figured. Like others have suggested, if Hollowwood liberals should keep their trap closed, I would be hypocritical to not expect it of the drivers. Gordon has been well schooled in PR and was likely advised not to talk. Party affiliation is one thing but endorsements are another.

Yes he is quite the driver. Hence, the reason so many people hate him. If someone has where Jeff endorsed Kerry I'd be interested in seeing it.

"I did read a few months ago Dale Earnhardt Jr endorsing Michael Moore's F911. Am I remembering this wrong?"While his words would not be considered an "endorsement," he did say that people should go see it. That falls way short of the "endorsement" tag.
He clarified that statement on 60 Minutes a few weeks ago by saying that you should always get the "other" viewpoint.
He's a staunch Repub.

Mario Andretti
For some reason, I never liked the guy. Here's a man who won the Indy 500, the world F1 championship, a couple of Indy Car titles, dozens of races, and who - to my knowledge - never had a serious racing injury. Yet all we ever heard was him whining about his terrible luck. Eddie Sachs, Swede Savage, Jochen Rindt, Lorenzo Bandini, Greg Moore - THEY had bad luck.

I dont think he actually endorsed it, but he said he watched it... because he wanted to hear both sides...

I have been a #24 fan for years. That ended today!
Although a #24 fan for years, has anyone heard the old joke about NASCAR? Hopefully no one else has posted it, but:
What do you call 42 people chasing a homosexual? Answer: NASCAR!
To: Fierce Allegiance
"While I am no Jeff Gordon fan, he simply chose not to declare an allegiance. He has stated he is a republican. All of the people on this thread would say "Shut up & drive" or worse if their driver came out for the bad guys."
True. I actually prefer the "no comment" approach.

That's my recollection, too.

FAG (fans against gordon) are not surprised he is voting for the pink poodle.

Agreed. I have never cared for Mario or Michael. The Unsers were so much better for Indy racing.

I live about 11 miles north of Vallejo, CA, Jeff's home town and I've always been a #24 fan (to my detriment, depending on the bar crowd during the race.
Jeff may just be keeping his mouth shut, subscribing to the "shut up and sing" philosophy expressed earlier. If he's come out FOR Kerry, I'm switching to Jimmie.
Did I miss something or is Hendricks not on the owner list of Bush endorsements.

What is the deal with Jeff Gordon? Anyone?
He's a crybaby, just like the democraps. I guess he was 'disenfranchised' by Dale Sr. in too many races....

Maybe I'll withhold judgment on 24.
