I don't imagine the Kerry's tithe 10% anyway. Oh well.

Yeah and they only "federally" tithe at the twelve per cent rate!

If you choose to identify yourself with a particular sect, then you should live by their rules, otherwise call yourself something else... you don't get the goodies unless you play by the rules. That's the problem with most liberals, they want all the fun and none of the work or responsibility.

Ay mama!!!! If this were the times of the Inquisition, we would be burning Kerry at the stake in Boston Commons. I would gladly light up the match!

I wonder if this is true...excommunication is tough punishment

And it's not a formal excommunication anway...one of them if you do this you are excommunicate like being an abortion provider or remarried without an annulment....be nice if the news folks knew what they were talking about.

I'm not sure how much this story really means, but it's good to see that it's starting to make the rounds.

" . . . FOUR more pro-abortion Catholic politicians: Democrat Senators Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts and Tom Harkin of Iowa; Republican Senator Susan Collins of Maine; and former New York Governor Mario Cuomo, a Democrat."

Leahy, Daschle, (not to mention Giuliani, Schwarzenegger) . . .

Advocating embryonic stem cell research from an aborted fetus is enough to do it. Abortion, euthanasia are also anathema.

If he votes for funding for those things, he's guilty.

Do you mean to tell me that the Catholic church is not a democratic orginization with debate, elections, focus groups, polls and political lobbying?

You mean it is kind of like a "God said it so you do it" kinda orginization?

Not so tough. All you have to do is repent.

This is a extremely huge news item, I posted it myself, but it cannot be posted enough. Excommunication should be THE DEATH NAIL as far as Catholics are concerned and it should indicate to the rest of the Christian World the gravity of what this means.

Support of Homosexuality, same sex marriage would also be cause for excommunication.

We had the weasel sermon this Sunday from the priests in our area.

I wish they'd take a stand. The idea that you can have one foot on land and the other on water only means you'll lose your balance and fall into the drink.

I know they are scared of the big bad boogey of someone in the pews screaming "church/state," but the teaching of the church are unequivocal.
