Week-long prayer vigil sign-up for Election 2004
Please pick a time and day below to sign up for one hour of prayer during the week leading up to the Presidential election. As all spots are now filled, overlapping times are not only necessary but encouraged. We want to have as many people praying for this election round-the-clock as possible. Prayer suggestions will be provided on the days of prayer.

I prayed on debate night in lieu of watching. Put me in a spot and I will be glad to pray.

Please add my name to the 7pm slot.

I pray for our president frequently, but this will be a reminder to me to devote that time to the power of prayer that Americans will do the right thing on Nov. 2.

Tonight I've been reading different dreams and visions people on the internet have said that God has given them. Much of it is a hodgepodge with a few hits here and there. Our God is not a God who just gets it right some of the time.

Regardless what the dreams say, however, I do believe that this is a crucial crucial time in this nation's history. I believe that the battle we are facing right now is completely spiritual. Americans have forgotten the lessons of 9/11 and thanks to the democrats are tearing this nation apart from within. They hate President Bush because of the Holy Spirit who resides within him. He dares to mention the name of Christ. They hate that. They want to destroy him, and the nation that was founded as a testimony for Christ. Our prayers (and fasting) are so important. They could literally be the difference between life and death for this nation.

This friend , is exactly why I am fasting...
It truly is so important right now.
By fasting one involves themselves 100%, you become no longer
an observer only. Even observers that comment alot !
By fasting you put your own body on the line , rather than mind only.
Does God notice this? May He accept my little sacrifice
for the sake of our very dear President ,who definitely needs all of our help , spiritually.
Not only our vote.
From me , he has both.

Thank you for this - I will sign up for 7 pm slot.

Am fasting - not food - but TV and talk radio (now that's hard) because I want to focus on what GOD says - especially Psalm 91.

Am emailing everybody on my lists; signs in yard and car; waiving on street corners. Most of all - BELEIVING!!!

We overcome by the Blood and the word of our testimony. We have the keys to bind and loose! Let's use them.

Please add me for the six days before the National Election and on Election Day at 6:10AM. Keep up the Excellent work. How can President Bush lose with all this powerful prayer behind him, unless, for some reason, God Almighty decides to pick Kerry as a punishment on America's rebelliousness against Him. We should also pray for Grace, Mercy, and Compassion from the LORD so that He will not judge America, but rather give America extra time to repent.

If I may , I would like to hold someone up to the Lord here for prayer . This woman needs all our prayers:
Her name is Sara , her husband USMC Gunnery Sgt Mike Clark was killed in action in Iraq , while attempting to disarm a roadside explosive device , last July. Sara remains devastated, hanging on to her sanity by a thread , with two beautiful precious little girls to care for . Now they are alone , Daddy will never walk through the door again.
Please pray for this dear sweet family , please pray that peace and calm and acceptance fills her heart . Please pray for their future and their healing. Sorry if my words fall short. Please help me pray for these good Americans.....

I lift up Sara this evening to you as her heart is oh so broken and her will to make it is very low. Lord, you bring comfort to those who can not be comforted in any other way. So we ask that you would strengthen her. Give her peace and grace to make it through. For her children's sake and for Your Holy name's sake. Bind up her crushed heart and bring joy into her life again.

Lord, let her know Your presence. Let her feel Your sweet Holy Spirit wrap His arms of love around her and give her such a feeling of warmth and caring that her spirits are uplifted. Lord, just love on her and nurture her. Be her husband during this time, providing for her all the love and provisions that she needs. Be a father to her children. The Bible says you are a father to the fatherless. Be that for the children I pray.

Thanks for this thread. I've held off joining this sign up thread until I had a better idea what hour to pick (I have more flexiblility of time than some, I think). Anyway, I would not want to be left out of an opportunity to join like-minded people in praying for our president and our country so please sign me up for 4 PM each day on your chart.
