Here in Minnesota, we also have election day registration.
All you need is for someone who lives at the same address to vouch for you.
I'm all in favor or letting the states decide election laws...but this sh*t has gotten way out of hand.
The Constituion explicitly allows Congress to set the time and manner of Congressional elections -- since the full House is up for election every two years, this means that Congress essentially has the right to impose uniform regulations on federal elections, if it so chooses.

Actually, it's any registered voter in the same precinct who will vouch for you.
There's another side to this. I moved to St. Paul in June. I registered to vote when I applied for my driver's license. When I checked with Ramsey County, they didn't have any record of it. So I got a registration form and mailed it to them. Haven't gotten any sample ballot or anything from the county.
So, if necessary, I'll register at the polls and vote. I like having that option...just in case the County doesn't manage to get me registered.
