My comment is not to any single member of this site. I just wanted to throw in a word for civility, one of those ol' conservative values I learned early in life.
I do not know what was going on in John Kerry's head when he clasped his hands together, in much the same way as do millions of Asians. And I doubt if any of the posters making all these personal attacks do either. Perhaps it is a habit he picked up while living in SE Asia. I do not know. Perhaps he does this even when he's not running for office. I do not know that either. Nor do I care. There are lots of things about Kerry that I do care about, like his positions on a whole host of issues. How he holds his hands in public, or when talking to someone, is of very little significance, in my humble opinion.
Finally, I would like to remind people that when you joined this Web site, you were asked "to use courtesy when posting" and to "refrain from personal attacks."
I'm sure that if Kerry happens to browse this thread, the pain of having had lost the election to Bush, and the future prospect of being able to return to his existing position, that of ineffective, no-show Senator from MA, will overshadow any insults tossed his way here.
