Kerry Dispatches 1,000 N.Y. Lawyers

Democrats plan to send 1,000 New York lawyers to precincts in key battleground states on Election Day, part of a nationwide legal SWAT team that will include 10,000 attorneys in all.

And they'll be ready to cry foul on behalf of John Kerry at the first sign of a hanging chad or botched butterfly ballot.

"We're going to be there to make sure that every eligible voter gets to vote and every vote cast gets counted," Henry Berger, New York state counsel for the Kerry campaign, told the New York Post on Sunday. Six hundred New York lawyers alone will be traveling to Florida to keep an eye out for "disenfranchisement." The remaining 400 Empire State legal eagles will fan out across Ohio and Pennsylvania, prominent election lawyer Jerry Goldfeder told the paper.

The plans for the Democrats' legal invasion were hammered out in New York this summer after party chief Terry McAuliffe rejected a bipartisan offer from top Republican Ed Gillespie to share Election Day monitoring.

Altogether, more than 10,000 Democrat lawyers will hit the beaches in at least 15 states on Oct. 30, when they'll begin a crash course on state election law.

Brilliant!

Let's turn the tables on al-Guardian (that leftist POS tabloid in the UK) and demand to vote in THEIR elections.

Since we contribute so much to the UK economy, many over here having dual citizenship (or being related to someone who is a UK citizen--someone such as myself!) should get a vote in THEIR elections!

What do you think?

Thank you! I am going to be a Republican poll watcher in Jacksonville. I'm not a lawyer, but I am a keen observer!

Will the Republican lawyers be prominently visible at the polling places?

I would imagine there will be FBI and a number of undercover agents out as well. These guys had better toe the mark or they'll find themselves in jail and the only available lawyers will be republican. :o)

Man we have enough New York lawyers down here in Florida already. They all come down here when they retire.

Rove or somebody said they got an army of lawyers as well.

This is just so sad that politics has become this.

I wonder if Kerry voted to properly fund the "Ten Battalions of lawyers" with proper full battle gear?

Before this is over I expect to hear "Fix bayonets and take no prisoners!"

Eventually, it may come down to exactly that.

What's the difference between a dead dog in the road and a dead lawyer in the road?

There are skid marks in front of the dog.

"Q: What do you call 10,000 democrat lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?"

A good start.

Who is paying for 1000 NY lawyer or all of these people etc to witness our election?

Where is this money coming from and if Kerry does not trust our elections and country why should he be elgible to run?

You know it. I have adopted the Patton philosophy about life. "Hold'em by the nose, and kick'em in the Ass."

It may not be much, but we all need to get involved and not sit back and wait for someone else to do that which we can do for ourselves.

No. The vote was so overwhelming for Gore/Hillary even the fraud did not matter. Here is what I observed:

1. In a Riverdale Nursing Home - the people were basically out it and had little awareness as to what what going on. One "nurse" "assisted" each person with voting. I wonder who she assisted them voting for?

2. Public School in the Bronx, NY. Army of non-speaking people crowding the poll to vote. There was one lady there "assisting" these people to vote. I protested, called it in, but got pounced on by the poll workers. A cop was there and he said there was not much he could do. I wonder who all these people voted for???

3. Teamsters were out on the march electioneering within 100 feet of the polling spaces, with little the cops or anyone would do. I reported it, but who knows.

I could go on and on, but you get the point.
