Sorry! I scanned the list too fast. ~whew!
We have to go down to Mass. Sat. for Wife's Aunt's Memorial service (passed away last week of complications from CA) so we'll probably miss it.
I hope someone can tape it. Hopefully at least highlights of it will be available on line.
Another thing going on that evening that I'd like to share with Southern - Maine FReepers.. *ahem*...:
On behalf of my American Legion Comrades and Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War
http://suvcw.org/
Bretheren (and Daughters of UVCW / SUVCW Auxillary Sisters):
Please be advised of a 1940's style USO Dance "Saluting Our Veterans" sched. for Oct. 23 at the P-M School Gym in Falmouth.
It is sponsored by the American Legion Post #164.
I can attach a copy of the USO Dance poster to anyone interested; P-mail me with an e-mail addy . It is a word document that should print out on regular copy paper in color.
Veterans are encouraged to come in uniform! We've had these in the past and they tend to be a lot of fun.
PS: We are told that at least one of our very own 3rd Maine Members on "Temporary Detatched Duty" with the 133rd ME NG Engr. Battalion in Iraq is or soon will be home on Leave, and will be attending in uniform. Two more Members (a young married Couple seperated by War, but both in the Regular Army are also on Leave, and may(?) make an appearance as well.
I sincerely regret not being able to be there, but hope that a few fellow FReepers can make it in my stead to express our love and support for our Maine Warriors!
Please pass this around to any who might be interested!
TIA - UJ
