Actually, most people don't realize that Ruth wasn't the first big-time Sox sold to the Yankees. Carl Mays was. Also, the Red Sox practically sold their entire team to them, player by player, over the course of a decade. Wasn't just Ruth.

I was just doing some study on the internet. Looks like Ted Kennedy was born the same year Babe Ruth played with the Yankees in his last World Series against the Cubs. Maybe he really is the curse?
