The problem with using Social Security to scare older people is that it works.

Something happens when a senior citizen turns 67. They instantly return to a child like state where they believe anything a democratic ad tells them. "They'll starve you." "They'll kick you out on the street." "They'll take away your hard earned money that was in your social security lock box and give it to the rich fat cats."

So with hands shaking and wet depends they toddle on down to the both and pull the straight "D" ticket.

*Note: This post is about the 80%ers. Not the 20% who know whats going on.

The good news is that Bush is going to be following behind Kerry in all of these states - maybe he can clean up his trail of lies to the older folks --My mom is 74 and know that Kerry is a scumbucket liar (her words)

Not necessarily. In the midst of all the confusion surrounding the Florida debacle in 2000, most people overlooked the fact that Bush actually beat Gore among seniors -- a cohort that has long been a strong supporter of Democratic nanny-state politics.
