Geraldo just played a taped interview with the father of Nick Berg who has now become a big-mouthed anti-war, anti-Bush activist. Berg's father intoned that "war is not the answer," because all those people over there really want is to be given respect and dignity, and........"as long as we're there, they're going to fight us, because they just want their own countries and respect and dignity." I somehow don't think that Berg's father suddenly became a radicalized liberal because his son was unfortunate enough to have been seized by the renegade monsters and beheaded. The guy engages in "liberal speak" and has surely always been a liberal. That IS the liberal argument - just give all them-there middle eastern folks decent respect, get outta their countries............and the problem will be solved. Watching the Michael Berg interview on Geraldo at large, reminded me of a brilliant article by Judson Cox, which was published last May in americandaily.com Because Geraldo featured the Berg anti-Iraq war piece, it seemed only fair to hear the Bush side, which is the reason for which I've just posted this rebuttal.

Uh huh.....and they garner respect and dignity by murdering thousands of innocent American men, women, and children......methinks the wrong Berg died!

Geraldo is an idiot for giving the guy a soapbox, in order to ghoulishly capitalize on his own son's brutal murder for the sake of hitting at W. This is nothing more than Mr. Lipweasel's contribution to oust W, using his own show.

Berg and Gerry Rivers are parasites, living off the fruits of our labors.

But they're believed by The Sheep, who will ultimately elect the next President.

The Sheep always vote Left. That's what Sheep do.

MIchael Berg is a world-class jerk whose son suffered a horrible death. Those two (possibly) unrelated facts don't make him a credible spokesperson for any point of view except his own. He is not an authority on foreign policy or islamofascism.

He's a jerk who lost his son horribly, My symapthy to the family. Now shut up.

I heard the guy on the Michael Medved show, and the filth that came out of his mouth could be used to test the blood pressure of decent people at HMOs. Vile stuff. Crazed stuff. Indicative of why the K-flopper has 40% support. Based on what he said, I'd say he's one of the nastiest people in our country.

He's one of those liberals who thinks of himself as a deep thinker and believes "war is not the answer" is a philosophy and not just a bumper sticker. Guys like that don't care how they get the limelight, they just want it. As soon as this election is over he will disappear just like the rest of maroons like him.

Hey.., doesn't this guy remind you of the three citizens walking up to the Martian War Machine with a white flag in the beginning of War of the Worlds.

"Hey, let's be friends."

Bright light, noise, three heaps of hot dust....

“liberalism is a mental disease"

I had not considered the possibility that liberalism was a disease. For quite some time now my theory has been that a liberal could be defined as a person who lacks the gene required to process reality. I believe the article supports both theories.

Judson Cox is a political columnist from the mountains of North Carolina. He is quickly gaining recognition as one of the most popular and influential voices of his generation. As a college student, and a young entrepreneur, he has a unique perspective on matters of politics, economics and culture.

Berg politicized his son's death, the same day that he learned of the beheading. What does that tell you about the man? There is nothing more that should be said.

Few people take Michael Savage seriously when he claims “liberalism is a mental disease.”

I guess I'm one of the few who agree with Savage. Liberals can't accept the truth or reality, logic and reason elude them, they're hateful, spiteful, childish, and rude. A liberal mind is a terrible thing.

Berg is following a sick liberal pattern of hating whoever is most accessible.

The hooded badguys who cut his son's head off are just a bit to scary for him to go after so screaming and campaigning against serious death or genicidal threats is just beyond this guy.

But playing politics and blaming Dubya is a safe call and allows him to vent without fear of retribution.

I am a big savage fan but this remark is slightly off base. Savage doesn't say "liberalism is a mental disease."

What he says is "extreme liberalism is a mental disorder." There is a difference - he suggests that only the most fringy, knee jerk, and extreme libs are ill. I tend to agree with him.

>>> I somehow don't think that Berg's father suddenly became a radicalized liberal because his son was unfortunate enough to have been seized by the renegade monsters and beheaded. <<<

Michael Berg was at least culplablly negligent in his son's beheading. Michael Berg, the father, raised his son without the defense mechanisms that normal people have. He was raised to beleive in "we are the world" and "can't we all just get along". Lovely if your going to stay in Scarsdale.

As a naive Jew, he went to Iraq just after the overthrow of a violently anti-Semetic regime, and expected to be immediately accepted. He frequented a body building gym in a strongly Bathhist neighborhood.

He paid for his fathers lack of "world smarts" with his life.

If he had had the chance to read "Terrorist Hunter" by Rita Katz, an Iraqi Jew that escaped Iraq with her mother and siblings after her father was killed by Saddam's thugs, he might have saved his own life.
