Sister of Kim Jong-il Said To Be In Critical Condition After "A Traffic Accident"

A story is emerging, which says that Kim Kyung-hee, the sister of N. Korean leader Kim Jong-il and the Director of Light Industry in (ruling) Worker's Party, had traffic accident and is in critical condition, according to a report of Nihon Geizai Shimbun (of Japan) dispatched from Seoul(, S. Korea.)

Credible sources on N. Korean affairs in Seoul said that Kim Kyung-hee's private limo was badly damaged in a traffic accident early last month in Pyongyang. A French medical team was called in. The security of Bong-hwa Clinic, which exclusively caters to high party elites, was stepped up dramatically.

These sources said, "Odds are high that Kim Kyung-hee was seriously wounded."

Kim Kyung-hee was regarded as the closest confidante of Kim Jong-il, along with her (estranged) husband Jang Sung-thaek, the First Vice Director of Organization Guidance Dept of (ruling) Worker's Party. Kim Kyung-hee exerts powerful influence on economic policy, because, through her position as the Director of Light Industry, she shapes up economy and life of citizens.

Recently, there have been allegations that she is suffering from alcohol dependency and psychological illness and had treatment in France. However, none of them have been confirmed.

There are two things that keep popping up whenever something happens to the health of Kim's family: French medicine and traffic accident.

Even Kim Jong-il's now-deceased wife, Ko Yong-hee, was first alleged to be badly wounded in a traffic accident. Eventually, she reportedly died of breast cancer. It is also reported that either she sought treatment in France or French medical team was called in to treat her. Now we have Kim Kyung-hee going through the same motion. Kim Kyung-hee was injured in a traffic accident. As with Ko, Kim Kyung-hee will get the best security protection available in N. Korea. So how could she be embroiled in a deadly car accident? If this report of the car accident is true, it is more likely a set-up than a true accident. That is, somebody wanted to get rid of her. Even if this story is just a cover, based on Ko Yong-hee's case, I get the feeling that Kim Kyung-hee's fortune could be somehow in irreversible decline. Who knows? Maybe she would eventually die from alcoholism.

In a span of about 8 months, Kim Jong-il's powerful brother-in-law, Jang Sung-thaek, was purged, his wife died, and now his trusted sister is alleged to be in critical condition. This is a collapse of his inner circle.

France is the key. They might have sought to defect and the French sent them back and ratted them out. They were executed in that case. Sounds like something France would do.

Wasn't there a report a few weeks ago about her being sick? Maybe hospitalized? But the talk then was of her alcoholism?

Re #12

Well, I am not sure what kinds of game France is playing with Kim Jong-il. You raise an interesting question, though.

A purge is what is needed. Even the ChiComs understand this. These days, the NK's can't even fart without a catastrophe. Give them two months and Emporere Chia is room temperature.

They have traffic accidents in North Korea?
You'd think that the very few cars would be so few and far between that they'd never be able to run into each other.... do they have traffic lights?
