They then highlight the second (spun) story on their front page in the headlines section, while leaving the true result off the page entirely. In other words, they spun a survey that showed 69% of our military support President Bush into a survey that says 62% of the troops think Bush screwed up. Hmmm...Unbelievable to me...
spin spin spin
CNN is full of horse pucky.
dizzy from the spin.
It's AP. What did you expect? Sad ain't it.
The Communist News Network is trying desperately to create doubts among the American electorate about the conviction and the motivation of our troops in Iraq. Nonsense, this is only a very small group of reservists that are disobeying an order from their superiors and need to be reprimanded. No need for this distraction causing problems with our dedicated and patriotic troops in the field.
And The Sheep received The Word and They saw that it was good, crying, "Who is like unto The Network, which utters naught but truth?"
And The Sheep believed all They heard, for that is what Sheep do.
Ok. You know what's next.
CNN will start editing videos a la Stalin's altering photos of Russian history. Next, we'll see Kerry getting awards from Reagen and in a private audience with the Pope with a voice over where the Pope endorses Kerry.
Well - we just ask CNN how to run a war instead of asking our generals I guess - or we ask the poll how to run a war.
Is this how the dems would run a war by polls?
Attention please! The AP is no longer a news service. It is a transcription service for the DNC.
This has been a public service announcement.
Thank you.
It is a faulty survey because it does not ask if they thought the mechanized infantry division delayed by Turkey would have put the necessary additional troops on the ground.
Remember, we did not get to enter Iraq with all of the troops planned on.
Remember, also, that we went in early because of the opportunity to kill Saddam and his sons with a missile strike. That was deemed a valuable enough opportunity that might have immediately cut the head off the snake and quickly ended the war.
It was a fair gamble.
Send the CNN reporter the Cherenkof report.
Well .. what were you expecting ..?? What with the new poll coming out about how the military supports Bush by a 3 to 1 margin, that the military and their families believe in Iraq and what the President's doing.
CNN just couldn't help themselves. They never met a good report for Bush they liked.
The actual Annenberg Report is titled "Service Men and Women Upbeat on Bush, War in Iraq, Economy." Doesn't exactly match the CNN headline, does it? The poll is very detailed and mostly favorable to the administration. I can't get my link to work for their site, Annenberg Project. But you can Google over there and read it. It's several pages long.
I smell a democRAT!!!!
The DNC is behind this... mark my words
CNN--is that thing still on?
Looks like CNN has a copy of the Halprin memo in their break room.
And 59 percent -- 56 percent of troops and 64 percent of family members -- said too much of a burden has been put on the National Guard and the reserves when regular forces should have been expanded instead.
I agree with all of this, as does my son in Iraq. But all seven of the adults in my family (no, we do not practice abortion here) are voting for Bush. My son called me today to tell me he mailed in his Bushballot.
Major League Adam Clymer Alert
I believe I heard on lovable NPR, who interviewed him about it, that he was some kind of political or media consultant for Annenberg.
