Put your money where your mouth is. Send Daschle packing. Go here to donate a few dollars to the John Thune for Senate campaign.

...done...an Andrew Jackson.

A Daschle loss is almost too much to hope for! Be still, my heart!

The next to go will be Terry McAuliff

Terry has already announced that he is leaving his DNC post right after the election.

he won't go home. He'll stay in Washington and become a lobbyist for "the little people."

I'm gonna laugh my a$$ off if he's a lobbyist for Halliburton, Bechtel or an oil company in a few months!

lot's going on here in SD.
not sure how much has already been posted on this as i'm still new here..

Dasshole was running adds that were quickly christined Hug-gate2 (the Moore hug - and denial - are Hug-gate1) Thune even mentioned "Hug-gate"! haa

There was the cry of out rage over dasshole using our beloved President for his slimy benifit. i wrote a nasty letter to the editor over it. thanking Daschle for endorsing Bush.

Then there was the Lot's of RINO's For Tom Daschle Add. that backfired..

Then a Native Amrican who was planning on running against Tommy dropped out and said it was because Tommy had promised the Indians something HUGE - REALLY BIG - TOP SECRET, so on. everyone speculating.. rumor was that Dasshole was telling the Indians he was going to get the Federal Wind Cave Park to be "given back to the Indians" .... woo :O
The guy that dropped out of the race never denied it.. he even hinted strongly that this was so. Then - Tommy crapped on him and said, no he never promised him a thing! haaaa!!
I live 50 miles north of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and let me tell you - the Indians were NOT happy over their hero Tommy stabbing them in the back. Thune signs galore popped up on the Rez in place of Tommy's -"A Strong Voice for Indian Country" signs. haa

Now - the Tommy in a Red Plaid Shirt Adds. "I hunt, therefore i am." i spent 130 bucks on a add in my local paper showing Tommy's REAL 2nd amendment record. PLUS - Thune has an add running that has a handsome fellow talking about how he would call and call Tom over gun issues and Tommy would promiise him to vote against it - but then he would vote FOR it..
woohoo... it's a burner.. i'm planning on re-running my add.. in the Rapid City Paper too..

PLUS - Tommy has an add where these loggers are defending him - they actually call the President's Healthy Forest Initiative - "Tom Daschle's Healthy Forest Initicative" !! lying little sack of...

AND - he is now running a new add (he took Hug-gate2 down) where he whimpers "i agreed with the President on most issues." yes, yes.. he really says that.

enough for now..

sorry if it is all old news. Thune is going to win.

I believe that a defeat of Daschle would be a serious bitch slap for the Democrats and I hope that it comes to pass.

I have never been to SD but my 1st Platoon leader in the Army was from there and he was a no nonsense sort of guy. I suppose that I assumed that was a general characteristic of most South Dakotans.

Daschle is an obstructionist unlike anyone before him in recent times. Culling the Senate of that sorry ass condescending sort would be a great leap in progress for our country.

I see you two have a wager going and I know we all hope Little Bill loses, even Little Bill. So if Bill loses and this celebration meal ever comes to pass I'd like to join you, not expecting Bill to pay of course. I'd just love to raise a cool one for Mr Thune with you guys. I did donate to the Thune cause after all.

Daschle's done all but change party ID. He's already run commercials boasting of his ties with President Bush. So its quite possible he can fool South Dakotans into sending him back to serve another six years in the U.S Senate.

I had not heard about the Daschle the Hunter ads. Has the NRA chipped in with any anti-Daschle ads?

Yes! to everything you said!

The best way to tell these creeps what we want is to send them home without a job. Yes, that's a serious "bitch-slap" and it affects all of the others tempted to follow suit as well.
Never thought I'd be interested in what happens in SD but I sure am!

Thune ain't letting him. he calls him on it. Thune has awesome adds that are quick responses to Daschle's latest lies.. and the National Republican Senatorial Committee has pumped big $$ in adds in our state for Thune, they are doing a superb job.
as is the National Chamber of Commerce ... bless them.. they have spent a lot of money here for Thune and Diedrich. (i like Larry Diedrich even better than Thune)

the big down side is the east river rag - Argus Leader. they are as bad as Koppel or Rather. they are putridly biased..

what is bttt??

Hey, we can just turn it into a party! ;-)

Boston wouldn't be a bad place for it. All the dejected liberal faces would make good party favors...lol...

Thanks for the newsy report! This could be a great year

he whimpers "i agreed with the President on most issues." yes, yes.. he really says that.

What a crooked lying politician! The great conservative folks in South Dakota have got to pay attention to who they are sending to represent them. Ha! I should talk, being from MA but we're not a conservative state by any means. (not sure if you may have already known that -- ha!)

I hope EV wins also, this is one I wouldn't mind loosing, but based on the shocked look on his face when I told him Bob Smith didn't have a snow balls chance in the last election, I thought it would energise him for Thune.

Your invited as are all Mass FReepers, EV is a great Guy.

And South Dakota does NOT require voters to show ID or voter registration cards at the polls.

OH YES SD DOES!

We have to produce our drivers licenses when we vote.

And to get an absentee ballot, the signature for it has to be notarized.
