"... you know, a </sarcasm> tag helps once in a while."
Exactly what I was thinking.

I would not find many 50 year old parents getting into this film.Perhaps, but I'm 48, and both my husband (56) and I loved it! Of course, we still subscribe to Mad Magazine so that might not say a lot about our level of humor maturity ;-).

The crudest scene has one male puppet demanding a Lewinsky from another male puppet in order to prove his trust. That was the one scene I could have done without. I'm fine with low-brow, but low-brow/homo involving the movie's main character was a little too much. Other than that, a hilarious movie (and what amazing sets!).

I don't intend to see this movie. I think people of conscience should stand against immorality, lasciviousness, and tastelessness in the "arts."

Most of the troops on the ground will be laughing their asses off once they get a chance to see the movie.Hubby agrees entirely. He's active duty, spent 4 months in Kuwait. He says the AAFES theaters will be filled to overflow when this one hits them. It is totally perfect. Too bad it probably won't make it there before time for their absentee ballots to be in the mail.

You must be a lot of fun at parties. Deep inside, in places you don't talk about in parties, you know I am.

To reply, those of us who saw it ARE people of conscience, who do stand against all you mentioned (especially when supported by taxpayer dollars, as the NEA). But we also love good satire.

"Deep inside, in places you don't talk about in parties, you know I am. "That sounds nasty.....I think it was a line from Team America.

You're all wet.
It touts a sensational message. It shows the "hero" at the monuments...the Iwo Jima and Vietnam Wall. It is very patriotic...a good venue to reach these dumbed down products of public schools.
I loved it.

That sounds nasty.....I think it was a line from Team America No. And I didn't use foul language, graphically depict a sex act, nor ask anyone for fellatio as I wrote it.
I wasn't even in pajams.

I liked Bill Maher's joke; If I wanted wooden sex with strings attached, I'd get married!

Geez, it's a movie made with puppets! Lighten up! WE WIN in this movie!!! From the looks of the trailer, Kim Jong Il looks and talks like Charles Nelson Reilly!
