Poor Mr. O'Donnell. If he doesn't hate God and religion, he certainly sounds that way. And almost as bad, he seems to have visceral disdain for Christian believers. On Friday night's Scarborough Country, Mr. O'Donnell seemed to go beserk, it was disturbing to watch, but instructive. O'Donnell's eyes bugged out, he kept on yelling "lesbian, lesbian, lesbian" like a madman.
(I won't say Mr. O'Donnell acted like a B-movie demon who'd been sprinkled with holy water, but he sure was upset.) And he tried his best to keep viewers from hearing what Terry Jeffries had to say by constantly talking over him. I would say, Lawrence O'Donnell lost all common sense and self respect in trying to defend John Kerry's huge blunder.
John Kerry had no business mentioning Mary Cheney's sexual preferences, that was wrong. It would have been just as wrong for President Bush to mention Vanessa Kerry's sex life.
In the future, I think Lawrence O'Donnell should be identified as a Democrat spokesman, not an MSNBC Analyst. "Analyst" implies "thoughtfully objective", Lawrence O'Donnell is certainly not that.
(name,address,phone,& email addy included)
A while back I put myself out of my misery and stopped watching MSNBC. I figured it would make me less annoyed. Lately, I watch HGTV when I get the chance. If Freepers would stop watching MSNBC, they wouldn't have any ratings at all.
I saw it and it disturbed me as well. I think Pat Buchanan was bothered by it. He appeared to be the "devil incarnate" with his "demon" eyes and anti-religion stance. Spooked me!
O'Donnell really hurt his own side by trying to demagogue the Kerry-Mary Cheney question. His argument seemed to be that Kerry couldn't have been dealing a low blow, because only people who couldn't stand to hear the word "lesbian" would be offended and Kerry obviously wasn't aiming at those people. But both assumptions are flawed.
Even if you know that your opponent has something in his background that people disapprove of, you make yourself look like a cad or boor by bringing it up. It seems to be a cardinal rule that you "don't go there." Especially not when there are plenty of others who'll do the job for you.
And while Kerry may not win many votes from the "religious right" with his ploy, he may be gambling that 1) some religious conservatives will stay home and 2) some non-conservative evangelicals (African-Americans and others) will be more likely to come to the polls for him, because of what he said.
Actually, Larry O'Donnell made Eleanor Clift look better than she usually does, and that may be why he's on the show. Some of these old Moynihan Democrats have mellowed more than others, and Larry isn't one of them. It may be the Hollywood crowd he hangs out with.
Thank You YY.
finally a vanity from a non-newbie..lol
O'Donnell sux....plain and simple ....literally
he's cake-ish I assume.

He desperately needs to be beat, repeatedly and vigorously, about the head and shoulders with a blunt object.
I e-mailed MSNBC saying at one time I had watched Hardball
but that Chris became too strident. At one time he was more middle of the road. He evidently got his "marching orders". It sometimes helps. Haven't seen that obnoxious woman lawyer on Greta since telling her I muted or changed channels when she was on.
Cheney only talked about her when he was asked a pointed question about her. Totally different.
O'Donnell is close to a total breakdown. He is in a frenzy, perhaps driven by some inner demons or hallucinations. Quite a while ago he seemed normal. I don't know what is happening except that he is loosing it. TV should not by exhibiting the mentally ill such as he and Susan Estrich and turning news into a freak show.
What obnoxious woman lawyer? Lisa Bloom? Talk about strident. Everyone in her opinion is guilty before she ever knows any of the facts. Perhaps you meant the typical MSNBC guest Katrina vanden Heuvel. She is a real piece of work. Always angry, never happy and spewing insults left and right. I would love to see her and Coulter go at it.
I also fired off an email during Scarborough after O'Donnell's public (on tv) attempt to judge Cheney's daughter. How dare he. But, I was so fast about it, I had it sent before the rampage about no president saying a prayer before going into war.
O'Donnell must be on drugs, is a heretic, an atheist or all three. I would hate to be standing in his shoes as God hears those assaults against Him.
Being irate - I also advised MSNBC that me and my family will never - ever - vote for another Democrat as all I see in the democrat party is corruption, socialism, and the weakening of America. Also mentioned I realized that MSNBC is bias and that I will not accept propaganda and will fight it through all means.
..It shone from his face -scary stuff....
Funny, I noticed the same thing. A coincidence that at least two of us saw the evil from within?
I saw this EXPLOSION myself; thank God I am not the only one who thought he lost it on national TV.
I agree with your assessment of O'Donnell, with this exception: He really freaked out over the Juanita Broaddrick thing, just went ballistic in HER defense, not Slick's. I'll never forget that, it really shocked me.
Oh well, go figure.
Never confuse ethics with law.
IMHO he is mentally ill.
He certainly looked and acted mentally ill on that show. It was a little scary.
True!!
Are you referring to Janie Weintraub? The blonde woman who never learned to smile? If so, I too swamped Greta's in box with complaints and was shocked to see her recently on MSNBC where they, naturally, didn't seem to mind her inflamatory statements. I understand she handled a case which resulted in a hung jury because they simply couldn't stand her and her tactics.
..IMHO he is mentally ill....
Well they should get him off TV if he is into blasphemy. Not a very enviable position for a major TV show who has to be in competition with other shows not resorting to blasphemy.
Just who in the >>>> does MSNBC think they are anyway?
