The group attacking U.S. Rep. Marilyn Musgrave in television ads is now on the hunt for Rep. Tom Tancredo - with a radio ad that began airing Wednesday.
In the ad, a woman is typing a letter to Tancredo. Then the narrator Says:
"My husband and I work hard to teach our children the values of acceptance and the evils of racism, which is why we're so disappointed in your conduct.
"You make a career of trying to punish immigrant workers, then turn around and use cheap, illegal labor to remodel your home. It's insulting to us all."
The reference to illegal labor is based on a 2002 allegation that Tancredo's remodeling contractor hired illegal immigrants to complete work on Tancredo's Home.
The contractor denied the allegation.
The woman then gives her name and notes she is from Greenwood Village.
Tancredo's campaign manager, Dave Pearson, said there are several problems with the ad. For starters, he said, there is no such woman in Greenwood Village and no active voter registration for anyone under that name.
Beyond that, he said, Tancredo is not a racist.
"The congressman is in favor of strengthening our borders and eliminating illegal immigration," Pearson said. "There is nothing racist or biased in that."

Ah yes, Karl Rove . . . evil mastermind.
Yee-Hawwww!!!
Hey, way cool. How'd you ever guess that Karl was such a clever mastermind?!
I believe Rove also engineered the total giveaway of the Naval base at Vieques, Puerto Rico, for not a dime in return for the U.S. Taxpayers.
I believe he's also a key player in Bush's decision to leave the borders wide open, forbid interior enforcement of our immigration laws, acceptance of the worthless Matricula cards and endless other examples of pandering to the Hispanic Left.
I believe Rove is responsible, in large part, for the Bush administration presiding over a massive Hispanic gang crime wave that's swept the Nation.
I suspect that this Hispanic crime wave is responsible for more death, destruction, pain and suffering and loss of treasure to the U.S. Taxpayers than the single terrorist act of 9/11, but do Rove and Bush give a damn?
Obviously, not. There's Hispanic votes at stake and an election to be won. You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet and all that rubbish, don't you know?
Is this evil?
In my book it is.
Sure. It's all a mistake. TT - What a hypocrite.
Do you live in CO? Find a drywall firm not employing Hispanics. Fake documents are rampant. And the Hispanic guys flat get the job done. Fortunately, Tancredo will win easily.
I've lived there. I know what you mean. However, under Tancredo's test, it is no excuse. I think it's sad that he'll be reelected. I hope that in the next election, Rove will work with the democrats and others to see that Tancredo is retired and the stage for his hateful retoric silenced.
What does Rove have against Musgrave?
I followed your link and found a single mention of Tancredo in 12th grader's term paper at a white pride site. I've no use for racists, but I'm not sure I follow your point about Tancredo.
What hateful rhetoric? Can you post it here?
Does it make you uncomfortable to be fans of a man who the white priders consider a hero?
You're insinuating that Tancredo's supporters are all or mostly members of "Storm Front"?
If you have something worthwhile to contribute to this discussion, please stay.
If you're only here to race-bait other FReepers into a flame war, please BeGone.
I try not to fall for the first guilt-by-association I see. A mention of Tancredo in the term paper of a high school racist isn't presuasive on its own. You said that Tancredo has hateful rhetoric. That might be more compelling if you posted it.
When you hire a contractor, you do not have control who he sub-contracts to. The contractor is stating that he did not, so this is nothing more than a smear.
I wish we had more men and women with their head and heart in the right place to protect the countries borders that Americans have given them the job to do.
It does not make you racist to want to protect the sovereignty of the United States. Mr. Tancredo is a good man. Much better than the spineless 95% of Congress who refuse to protect our nations borders.
His campaign finance disclosures show he has received $1,000 from John Tanton, a retired doctor from Michigan. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, the organized anti-immigration movement is almost entirely the handiwork of Tanton. The center has classified two of the groups that Tanton has funded as "hate groups."

Funny, if your general contractor fails to pay the sub, you end up paying otherwise the sub can put a lien on your home. So you ARE responsible for your subs.
financially, yes, but he brings in people you have not necessarilly have control over who he brings.
Now, Conservative Republicans should be consulting the Liberal, Marxist/Socialist, miscreant, members of the "Southern Poverty Law Center"?
Next, you'll be telling us that La Raza, Mecha and LULAC don't approve of all of Tancredo's contributors, either.
Thanks, that's the best laugh I've had all week.
LOL!
