"Forgive me if I'm a bit defensive on their behalf when I hear all muslims painted at the enemy."

What do you expect Sandy? This type of thinking is right out of the left's play book. You have a good friend, and from your account a great American, who happens to be a Muslim. Great, but we cannot treat this cult as something warm and fuzzy because you found an anomaly.

If I were your friend, I would give this cult a serious evaluation then drop it like the turd it is. That is a hard thing to do when we are speaking about faith but come on, the Koran is a comic book for retards.

"I judge people on their individual merits, not by what group they belong to."

So a person who belongs to the KKK can be OK in your book? How about a Nazi?

When you belong to such groups it is only natural for a normal person to be suspicious. It would be foolish to not closely evaluate a person belonging to such groups.

It is possible for a person to belong to such a group and be a good person if they don't know the true goal of the group but Sandy, I think they are few and far between.

Again, I am glad you have this friend you trust as friendships are hard to build but don't ask us to trust all muslims because you found a good one.

[ You would consider a Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, presently fighting for us in Afghanistan, to be an enemy because he's Muslim? That's sad. ]

Almost as sad as whats in the water in the state of Washington especially Seattle.. Something wrong with them people... it MUST be in the water...

The majority of people in hell are women. Mohammed said, "I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers are women. " Qu'ran SURAH..Vol. 1:28, 301; & Vol. 2:161; & Vol. 7:124

The Prophet Muhammad said, "Lying is wrong, except in three things: the lie of a man to his wife to make her content with him; a lie to an enemy, for war is deception; or a lie to settle trouble between people" (Qu'ran, 6.459).

"American history has taught us to welcome the contributions of men and women of all faiths, for we share the fundamental values of religious freedom, love of family and gratitude to God,"

This is his greeting, do you see anything you don't agree with here?

One day, a scorpion looked around at the mountain where he lived and decided that he wanted a change. So he set out on a journey through the forests and hills. He climbed over rocks and under vines and kept going until he reached a river.
The river was wide and swift, and the scorpion stopped to reconsider the situation. He couldn't see any way across. So he ran upriver and then checked downriver, all the while thinking that he might have to turn back.

Suddenly, he saw a frog sitting in the rushes by the bank of the stream on the other side of the river. He decided to ask the frog for help getting across the stream.

"Hellooo Mr. Frog!" called the scorpion across the water, "Would you be so kind as to give me a ride on your back across the river?"

"Well now, Mr. Scorpion! How do I know that if I try to help you, you wont try to kill me?" asked the frog hesitantly.

"Because," the scorpion replied, "If I try to kill you, then I would die too, for you see I cannot swim!"

Now this seemed to make sense to the frog. But he asked. "What about when I get close to the bank? You could still try to kill me and get back to the shore!"

"This is true," agreed the scorpion, "But then I wouldn't be able to get to the other side of the river!"

"Alright then...how do I know you wont just wait till we get to the other side and THEN kill me?" said the frog.

"Ahh...," crooned the scorpion, "Because you see, once you've taken me to the other side of this river, I will be so grateful for your help, that it would hardly be fair to reward you with death, now would it?!"

So the frog agreed to take the scorpion across the river. He swam over to the bank and settled himself near the mud to pick up his passenger. The scorpion crawled onto the frog's back, his sharp claws prickling into the frog's soft hide, and the frog slid into the river. The muddy water swirled around them, but the frog stayed near the surface so the scorpion would not drown. He kicked strongly through the first half of the stream, his flippers paddling wildly against the current.

Halfway across the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp sting in his back and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the scorpion remove his stinger from the frog's back. A deadening numbness began to creep into his limbs.

"You fool!" croaked the frog, "Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?"

The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drownings frog's back.

"I could not help myself. It is my nature."

Then they both sank into the muddy waters of the swiftly flowing river.

Self destruction - "Its my Nature", said the Scorpion...

Sandy, may I recommend that you ignore these nasty people who have problems with objective reasoning.

Broadbrushing all Muslims as the enemy is ignorant.

And even acknowledging that Islam is a false religion doesn't preclude the President's wishing Muslims a happy Ramadan.

Freedom of religion and a President who is the leader of ALL the people, is apparently something these folks don't understand.

Roosevelt didnt wish the enemy happy whatever
He also condoned locking up American citizens because of their ethnic origin. Personally, I'm glad we now have a President that knows better.
