In the first presidential debate, John Kerry made a little noticed statement affirming his intention to provide Iran with nuclear fuel. "I think the United States should have offered the opportunity to provide the nuclear fuel, test them, see whether or not they were actually looking for it for peaceful purposes."
For those with a short memory, this was essentially the same policy the Clinton administration adopted toward North Korea provide them nuclear fuel under the ridiculous assumption that Kim Jong II would only use the nuclear fuel for electricity. Hence, the growing nuclear arsenal being amassed in North Korea, a threat John Kerry inappropriately sources to President Bush's watch.

The Kerry campaign has been more than desperate for any kind of policy or substance on which to run (that says it all)...as such they have grabbed at anything, THAT IS ANTI-BUSH no matter how STUPID AND CRAZY it is. Just as long as it is in opposition to GWB's administration policies.
The Iran nuke fuel deal is a classic example of the irresponsibility and stupidity of the far-left libs. As you pointed out, Clinton was JUST AS STUPID. OMG, just look at what Clinton had for his cabinet??? He could not have found greater utopian idiots even in the land of OZ.
Kerry carries on the far-left liberal "thinking" (bad word I know) pattern...it is just total madness and again, SHEER STUPIDITY.

Let's not forget that the North Korea deal was a Jimmy Carter special. JC negotiated the deal on his own and pretty much manipulated Clinton into a box of having to accept it. At the time, IIRC, Clinton was none to pleased about it.

Thanks for the post. This is an excellent article. Also the first I have seen to point out that, in the first debate, Kerry called "nuclear proliferation" the #1. Bush said "terrorism". When Lehrer said, "so you both think nuclear proliferation is #1," Kerry said "yes." Bush responded "in the hands of terrorists."
To: Jacob Kell
The only reason they are not aware of it is that the liberal media is covering for Kerry.

Castro Carter's problem is that he thinks "he is" JC "Jesus Christ". Does he have an ego larger than "Clinton and or Kerry?"
I believe Kerry to be the more arrogant of the three. But rest assured if Kerry is elected you are going to get JC's policies all over again and this is mostly where the terrorist problems started.

This comment didn't escape me or my wife. We both turned and looked at each other during the debate with a newfound fear.
My only comment to her was: "Be afraid. Be very afraid." She had no response.

Let us not forget that sKerry also said that while he would give nuclear fuel to Iran, he would also shut down nuclear programs in America! Pretty easy to see that he is once again on the side of the enemy. Probably wants to see how many more foreign enemy museums he can get his picture in.

When Lehrer said, "so you both think nuclear proliferation is #1," Kerry said "yes." Bush responded "in the hands of terrorists." I noticed the distinction right away, how Bush qualified nuclear proliferation to mean that our enemies shouldn't have nukes. Kerry, OTOH, put the U.S. on a moral equivalence with Iran and NK. He rants about the evils of us building "bunker busters" and then wants to send nuclear fuel to IRAN!
Kerry's vision of the U.S. on par with communist/terrorist regimes, and wanting to disarm us in order to "keep the world safer" is the most frightening aspect of his potential presidency, IMO.

I paced around the family room on debate night saying "no way... no way did he just say that he wants to give nukes to a terrorist state. Why doesn't the moderator stop the debate and call him on it?! Mr. President! Stop him! He's a psycho!"
There are many of us who caught it. Here's a thread I posted from the day after:
