New York, NY, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- ABC TV has produced and will air next week a documentary on the Vietnam War fight that has both distinguished and dogged John Kerry's presidential campaign.
Kerry has not hesitated to invoke his status as a war hero, gained partly for a 1969 incident when he was commanding a river boat in Vietnam, in seeking to win Democratic Party's nomination and in campaigning against President Bush, ABC News reported Friday.
But the 1969 incident for which Kerry won a Silver Star has also been the focus of one of his most virulent enemies, the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, who charge that all the senator-to-be did that day was shoot one wounded Vietnamese teenage boy in the back as he fled.

Kerry was in Vietnam? =O
Note to ABC's affiliates: It was only a a matter of time...Suckers.
AND THEY CAN'T FIND THE TIME TO GO INTERVIEW PEOPLE WHO SERVED WITH BUSH IN ALABAMA?!?!?!?????
I wonder if the same folks who slammed Sinclair for running an anti-Kerry documentary will slam ABC's efforts to sanitize Kerry's accounts of his service.
Yeah, right.
Coincidence that it will go against Sinclair's show?
I believe the correct definition of this television offering would be "Crockumentary".
This is the one I read about yesterday where ABC went to Viet Nam to the village where this supposedly happened and talk to Viet Con who said they saw what happened, and it's in Kerry's favor. Yeah, they'll interview and take the word of Communist Viet Con and not our countries own soldiers!!! I'm sure gonna watch (yeah, right)
Another Kerry puff piece from ABC. On last night's "Nightline," Koppel refused to let John O'Neill speak. It was all pro-Kerry campaigning.

Kerry was selected to chair the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs in 1992 in order to investigate the reams of evidence of American prisoners not returned from Vietnam. "Senator Kerry had another agenda, however. He wanted to clear all the impediments for normalizing relations with Vietnam."
"Kerry refused to interview key witnesses and ordered committee staff to shred important intelligence documents.
The shredding stopped only when some staffers protested. The committee's final report, issued in January of 1993, officially closed the issue for Congress."
"Shortly after, Vietnam announced it had granted a large real estate contract to Colliers International, based in Boston. The multimillion-dollar contract was for a massive modernizing of Vietnam's ports, railroads, and other infrastructure. Colliers International's CEO, C. Stewart Forbes, is John Forbes Kerry's cousin."
(Comment) KERRY STABS VIETNAM VETERANS IN THE BACK AGAIN. KERRY IS THE LOWEST SCUM ON THE EARTH THAT COULD EXIST.
The VN Comunists have violated nearly every agreement they ever made. Hey, really, its not worth the trip, ABC.
Is this just more of the Vietnamese peasants, as Ted Koppel called them, who somehow remember a specific battle 35 years ago? As John O'Niel pointed out ABC didn't bother to interview even one American vet, the 'peasants' version didn't jibe with Kerry's, his biographers or the Boston Globe's accounts much less the Swiftvets account. Koppel put forth these peasants account as having more veracity than 250+ American vets depite the fact that the communist Vietnamese gov. had minders with them. Is that what this is going to be?
Does this mean Stolen Honor gets equal time?
They started it last night on Nightline. Even stupid people should be able to see what they're doing.
Will they point out that the battle in question happened in Feb. '68?
