Yes. It refers to when the Poys are removed from the ship. Can't be steaming across the ocean while loaded down with poys. They cause a drag on the hull, and that results in a slower, less manueverable ship.
I think grammar is not the posters concern, I believe he wishes all on board the USS Abe Lincoln a safe and successful journey!
Grammar critics aside, Thanks for the post.
Ops4 God BLess America!
Looks like the "A" key has issues, too. Look at Abraham.

Walk into The Poi Co. factory in Kalihi and you'll see empty shelves.
"We're sending it out as soon as we get it done," says Craig Walsh, president of The Poi Co., the state's second-largest poi manufacturer...

/ joking over, back to serious stuff.
Excellent article.
Ahhhh.... I see now where all the poy they removed will be going. It used to be when we'd depoy a ship, we'd just throw the stuff away... Times change, I guess.
Now, if we could just teach the islanders how to spell "poy".
Well, a "poy" is like a long boat hook. They're used mostly by barges, but I guess this carrier must have had some...

Probably the result of a defense cutback.
Um. Not to insert a note of seriousness, but I haven't heard about this...
Check out this headline..needs help!
