Why would the adult entertainment industry be so supportive of "a former altar boy" (/sarcasm).

Any links to actual pornographers (by name) donating to Kerry? That would be helpful.

...the question of what John Kerry is likely to do about enforcing obscenity laws if he is elected. He won't do anything about it.
Anyone with common sense knows that a person can't be pro-homosexual and anti-obscenity.
If anyone doubts that all they need to do is look into the homosexual lifestyle as practiced in any major liberal city.

I have a question: The Kerry campaign threatened Sinclair broadcasting with the power of the FCC over their choice of airing "Stolen Honor". Specifically, Chad Clanton said something to the effect of "They'd better hope we don't get elected."
Now, did Howard Stern or the rest of the "Freedom of Speech über alles, even on the public airwaves" crowd say word one about that? It's not a trap, I want to know.

If you want to know Kerry's position on obscenity, all you have to do is look at his campaign.

It appears Kerry has chosen not to take a strong stance against the porn industry or obscenity in the media and entertainment, and MIM's president suspects Kerry's move to distance himself from the issue may in some ways be paying off for the Democratic candidate. He should do what the Gore's did. Start making very public condemnations of obscene music, movies, etc. Then collect even larger contributions to not enforce the laws.

You can find great background information on obscenity prosecution and what the Clinton Administration did to it
here. It's a PBS Frontline episode that you can watch online (if you have a high-speed connection) and the site has plenty of supporting documentation. The key point to understand here is that this isn't about Playboy and naked women or even kinky sex. It's about women being tortured on film for the gratification of others. The PBS Frontline crew was so disturbed by one of the film shoots that they attended that the crew had to leave. And, no, I don't think it's good to pay women to consent to being tortured for the pleasure of others.
