Can Lenny and Squiggy be far behind? At the cost of revealing my ignorance, I have no idea who Lenny and Squiggy are. Could you please elucidate?

Thanks for sparing me from having to watch this show. Your summary and insights in addition to your remarks are invaluable.
Now, everybody here knows why North Carolinians would not have re-elected Edwards and his crass-mouthed wife.

It's from the spin-off of Happy Days--I think the title was "Laverne and Shirley," but if not, they were the two main characters.
It was set in the '50s and I believe they worked in a brewery?

"Laverne and Shirley" was a spin-off of "Happy Days". All of Shirley's sweaters had a big "L" on them.
Lenny and Squiggy were the greasy, icky guys who lived in the same building as Laverne and Shirley.
Penny Marshall (ack, spit) played Shirley.

(kerry . . . he spent 20 years in the Senate and doesn't have much to show for it. ¡Viva Bush/Cheney!)
