"In a phone interview, O'Reilly would not say whether he had sexually explicit phone conversations with Mackris, as she charged in her lawsuit...Without confirming or denying that sexually explicit conversations took place, Green said tapes might indicate whether they were 'initiated for the purpose of entrapment.'"

This is another Trent Lott moment - and couldn't come at a better time for Benedict O'Reilly.

Al Franken is skipping around like a giddy little fairy, scattering sparkle-dust and blinding people with his grin.

Now, THERE is someone I'd love to have someone dig up some dirt on.

As far as O'Reilly goes, I'm sure this is something that's been coordinated by the alphabet channels in their war against FOX. That being said, how surprised would anyone be if O'Reilly was dropped, and three months later appears as the headliner on CNN competing against his old slot? Anyone put this outside of the potential scenarios?

Yes. As it's developing, we should also make sure that his positions in favor of gun control, civil unions, environmentalism, feminism, Memogate/Kerry and other liberal pursuits (e.g., against the death penalty) are known. It's a tussle between the left and the left, and Kerry agreed to be on his show soon.

And Bill has demanded that feminist victimology have its way with others for some time.

It's time for Kerry to get dirty again, either way.

"I've known Kerry for 25 years. He's a patriot. I'm listening to what he has to say." --O'Reilly to Mike Wallace on 60 Minutes

*sigh*

Listen. Fellow freepers. You have got to stop cutting off your noses to spite your faces.

The MSM has successfully painted O'Reilly as a conservative, despite what we know of him. They will use this as another excuse to berate conservatives. Think about it. :/

O'Reilly rebuffed his following in an insane pursuit of positioning himself somewhere in the mythological middle. He will find himself alone.

Totally disagree with your analysis. Bill O'Reilly has revealed himself to be a shameless hypocrite, a scumbag and a traitor to the philosophy he mimed on the way up. In other words, a 'Rat. In fact he's a registered 'Rat down at Animal Control.

If the MSM paints him as a conservative - then we would be fools to defend him as "one of our own". First of all, he ain't. Second, we don't support that kind of "Bill"-type behavior anyway.

Bill O'Reilly is an entertainer.

I really don't care about his personal life but I do understand that Democrats cream their jeans over scandals like this.

I wonder why they think bright conservatives care about an entertainer's personal problems?????

Yes.

"Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him...If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them...To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself" (Sun Tzu, The Art of War).

132nd lesson from Sun Tzu. When you discover an enemy in your midst...let your enemy outside the walls shoot him with their own bullets. (Somewhat paraphrased and totally made up anyway)

Last night, the Factor Fraud described as "Kerry-Haters" those objecting to Kerry outing Cheney's lesbian daaughter.

Enjoy the "middle", moron....
